I dont think its the backlight becuase the hard drive just hangs and no sound is coming except the startup sound. Even without the harddrive its still blank. I tried with lights and didnt see anything 

The pram battery was removed months ago. The logic board is clean. There was little leakage from the battery but its.been working. I tried pram reset not working

Sometimes if you close the computer so its in sleep mode it wont turn on automatecally. I dont know if the pb 150 sleeps when closed though

I never knew there was a fuse. The problem was the gray cable on the interconnect board were the clock battery is. Also make sure the cable is fitting right when when you put the computer together.

What issues you having with it? Well i ordered a new screen for mine and replaced the inverter board. The thick gray cable was loose and needed be replaced. Also i cleaned the boards and took out the memory card. I already replaced the keyboard but same problem.  Also that  thick gray cable...

Not working i wish it did

My powerbook 145b is finally working but now the keyboard only recognizes some keys. I replaced the keyboard twice and reseated the connectors same problem. Sometimes the keys work and now they wont. Is it the keyboard or mabie logic board? Thanks 

I have a duo 210 and except for the stupid pink blotch on the screen that keeps getting bigger from dead pixels, the inside board looks brand new. They kept the pram battery away from the motherboard and there are barely any capacitors. One of the most reliable laptops Apple had.

The ac adapter is not chipped and works and what is logic board joints? Capacitors? Thanks

The powerbook makes a regular chime but only when i hold the plug down. The ac adapter works but the ac port is cracked on the solder part under the board. I saw the question mark screen once and it was clear but not since. 

Hello I just got a powerbook 100. It looks good and has a working screen  The issue is the ac adapter port is loose and when i plug it in it makes a static noise with the sad mac sound.  I got it to start up to a flashing disk since theres no hd but then back to static noises. Is that because...

You can either rip out the  screen, recap it or just use it like that. It looks good even with lines on it.

You try it without the ram card in and is the gray interconnect? cable in right? 

I found this in my powerbook 3400c and there was a little leakage on a board but i cleaned it with water. This is what was leaking. Really bad. If it wasnt for this website i wouldnt of known to  remove the pram battery!

I finally got the powerbook 145b to turn on without the sadmac. I was about to throw it out. For some reason I removed the ram card that was attached to the motherboard? And it only turned on with it removed. The display is the issue now. The lcd cable is ripped a little and the screen contrast...

Thanks it worked. the software was to old or something though

I opened it again cleaned the motherboard etc and now its completely dead. Only hard drive ticking. 

Its just not working, i opened it and there's nothing visibly wrong and i plugges unplugged everything still black screen and sad mac chimes
