i have some other ram from a iisi that wouldn't work. i dont have any experience with soldering, i have a steady hand but dont have a idea about circuit boards. and work a lot so I think it would go to a pro. since it at least turns on should i cover the copper traces with tape or soak the board...
yah that happened to me when i was little. it probably is the capacitors inside the performa or the ram. just take some pics of the inside of the computer mabie somebody knows.
well it's not even turning on anymore so i guess sending the computer off to get recapped may just get it to turn back on and nothing else... getting another motherboard for thisis going to be expensive. any suggestions?
do you think its still fixable? i just turned it on it does spin the hard drive, the light turns on and the screen output is just white. one of the ram cards were so corroded i had to throw it out. its crazy this thing turns on. can bare traces be fixed? well after 5 minutes its dead. wow...

I tried all that its definetely messed up. No broken traces and the board cant be any cleaner. The only thing i can think is it had really bad leakage before the previous owner recapped it and shorted out the rom chips or something. I dont want to keep spending money on this thing lol. The...
Its been cleaned almost 10 times since i had it and whoever had it before really cleaned the board and recapped it. Same thing if i remove all the ram. If it has 1mb on the logic board why wont it boot? The rom chips are on the board to. Theres no sound at all the speaker just pops when turning...
