Hi all,
I've found an old thread which seems to confirm that DP8 is a BYD73D.
https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/what-is-dp8-macintosh-analog-board.31559/
The BYD73A seems to be readily available, but it's only a 50V part versus the BYD73A which is 200V.
I was hoping to get a few as...
Thank you :) It might be a BYD73D, which is an ultra-fast low-loss controlled avalanche rectifier:

I recently wrote a short article on the process that I followed for building and configuring a set of BlueSCSI SD card adapters, then using them to backup and replace the original mechanical hard drives in my Macintosh Classic and Classic II - please see below, I hope it's of use and/or...

What’s also weird...
Thank you 😊 I meant to mention in my original post that the B+ adjustment potentiometer PP1 doesn’t seem to be affecting the voltages at all. I’ve cleaned the pot and tested it out of circuit and it seems OK.
Hi all,
I've recently got my hands on three compact Macs - a Classic and two Classic IIs.
I've got the Classic and one of the Classic IIs working well, which is great.
However, the other Classic II is putting up a fight.
Not only is the digital board not working (recapped but needs a new CPU...
