I've still never been able to track down the elusive dual-slot PDS adapter that came with the accelerator option for the Power Workstation. After looking at pictures of other multi-PDS adapters for the LC's and consulting with people smarter than me, I suspect it was mostly a passive adapter...
@LCLover I sent you a private message, but just realized that maybe you're not getting them as a new member? I can't remember if there's a probationary period or something before you can use private messaging here.
The similar accelerator I have is picky about RAM. I also got a bus error when the init loaded until I found RAM it liked. I can confirm that this 16MB kit works in the MicroMac Multispeed, so it would probably work in yours...
I've seen the same error before from a MicroMac Multispeed accelerator in an SE, which makes sense since it's a licensed NewLife design (the ROM dump says "NewLife" all over it).
It's a test for the onboard SIMMs (which are all required to be present). In my case, I had two broken data lines...

It looks like you installed 16MB (4x 4MB SIMMs) on the card after recapping, and "About this Mac" is showing 16MB of RAM. If so, and you have the "Application Memory" slider all the way up to 16MB in Compact Virtual (as I expect you do), then you're using the RAM on the card. You can...
Powering on my IIci with the power key and then doing control-command-power during the memory test does nothing for me. The machine does not restart in response to the key combo.
You are correct. I had my SE with MultiSpeed apart today and I took a look at it. My MultiSpeed has a 50Mhz oscillator. The output pin of that flip-flop is connected directly to the clock pins on the CPU and FPU. As you can see, the flip-flop is halving the oscillator's frequency:
I've...
It performs very well. Here's how it stacks up to a Classic II and stock SE/30 in Speedometer after I added an FPU and a 16MB SIMM:
Ya, I think you only need the loopback cable if you want to use one monitor for both the Mac and PC sides:

Neat find! Here's a 40Mhz Techworks accelerator for the Classic that uses the same installation method...even shipped with a machined metal clamp to hold the boards together:
Also, I'm drooling over that OrangePC 660...always wanted that one. Did yours come with the video loopback cable?
