Just won a 50MHz DiiMO with FPU on Buyee!

Update for those who were curious: Buyee’s international shipping was just under $32, which seems reasonable. There were cheaper options that would take longer of course.

Just won a 50MHz DiiMO with FPU on Buyee!

I don’t mind a bit; I know it’s hard to pin down current values for things like this so I’m happy to give other collectors looking another data point. The winning bid and associated Buyee auction fees was $466.50 USD, and I anticipate another $50-$100 in international shipping once it reaches...

Just won a 50MHz DiiMO with FPU on Buyee!

Thanks for the input everyone! I paid a pretty penny for this but still less than the combined costs of a 50MHz DayStar PowerCache card and a Twin Slot Adapter, which I was happy about as I consider this a more elegant solution. Just won a 50MHz DiiMO with FPU on Buyee!

So I just grabbed the last piece of my SE/30 upgrade puzzle on Buyee this morning and I’m thrilled: a 50MHz DiiMO card with FPU installed. SE/30 not seeing Roland SC-88 Pro

That’s the interesting thing… the Mini Macman power light comes on now when I open Ballade. So I guess the cable is partially compatible, just not the pins carrying the data.

SE/30 not seeing Roland SC-88 Pro

Okay, thanks y’all! I’m going to dig up or order a real Apple serial cable instead of a nondescript modern Amazon replacement and see what that does.

SE/30 not seeing Roland SC-88 Pro

I bought them from Amazon… Two lengths but the same thing. I’ve interchanged them and I’m pretty sure they’re standard serial cables, unless a modern replacement wouldn’t work for some reason. 8 Pin Mini Din Male Male Cable 6 Ft in Black...

SE/30 not seeing Roland SC-88 Pro

Hello! Posting a desperate plea for help here as I’m not sure what’s going wrong or what I’m missing from the equation. I have an SE/30 running 7.5.5. Installed I have Ballade for playing MIDI tracks, MIDI Manager, and OMS. I deactivated AppleTalk. I have a Roland SC-88 Pro I can’t get the Mac...
