    Ethernet card for Performa 6360

CommSlot II ethernet, if the machine has PCI. They are fairly rare by this point.

Favour to Ask of a TiBook or iBook Owner

    I have a 667, but it's a Radeon 7500. There were two 667s :)

Installing Mac OS 8 on a Performa 6400/180 - Only 8MB RAM Detected?

That would be a hardware issue :( Remove the modules, clean them, reseat them.

16 MB!? Those are rookie numbers! ::looks in memory drawer::

    Struggling with Performa 6360--need help

OS choice on that machine is really just a matter of taste. It’ll handle 7.5-8.6 just fine. I’d only put 9 on there if you need USB, FireWire, or OpenGL.

Silicon Image SIL3112 Flashing: Easier Way Using flashrom

10.2 kernel panics for me, too, with an RHC hard card and the 512 k firmware. Also B&W rev A. I could try it in a G4 I suppose. Or try the generic SiI-3112s. 8.6 works fine.

New (to me) Powerbook G3 Pismo, basic questions

Booting from FireWire would not, unfortunately, tell you whether the motherboard IDE works.

New (to me) Powerbook G3 Pismo, basic questions

If it works in his Pismo, and not in yours, that means something is wrong with the motherboard :( I'd still try a different IDE device to be sure.

New (to me) Powerbook G3 Pismo, basic questions

I know mSATA to IDE adapters do not work in my slightly-older-than-a-Pismo B&W G3. I would try a different SSD.

    Struggling with Performa 6360--need help

My CF-IDE only has two screw holes, so I just put a couple zip ties around the bracket arms like this. "Less than ideal", I concede, but the ties hold one end on and the IDE cable holds the other. If flops around a little when I move it but, the broken plastic in that machine flops around more :)

    Struggling with Performa 6360--need help

There's a plastic bracket that holds the hard drive in. Remove the hard drive, wire tie the IDE adapter to the bracket, and stick it back in. That's what I did in the 640 CD.

They make short 4-pin power cable extensions. Easier than messing with the wiring harness IMO.

Silicon Image SIL3112 Flashing: Easier Way Using flashrom

Thanks. I meant the image; the only difference is the extra decompression step, right?

Silicon Image SIL3112 Flashing: Easier Way Using flashrom

I had a couple with AM28F010s, swapped them to AM29F040B (non LV) and they programmed fine with the Mac app and work great. Is there any reason to use a 512K ROM on these since they have room, versus the 128K ROM?

Pics/Vids of CRTs - refresh rate

You can also do it with the built in camera app on the iPhone. Make sure the "Live" icon is enabled. Then later when browing the photo, select "Live" in the upper left corner and then "Long Exposure"

    Power Macintosh 6500/250 - A/V mirroring?

Another way is to get a PCI Radeon 7000 with DVI and put it into a PCI slot on the 6500. Then use a DVI to HDMI cable and a cheap HDMI capture stick. I’ve been able to capture the screen this way
