@Phipli It says 9200. I tried the official ATI January 2005 plus the July 2005 update drivers for OS 9 from ATI. I tried the patched drivers for Mac OS9 Lives Mac Mini G4 OS 9.2.2 as that also has a Radeon 9200 onboard video.
I have a genuine Mac edition Radeon 9200 128MB PCI video card that I cannot get to work in this computer. I have tried all 3 PCI slots. Every set of drivers both official and patched that I have tried have the same issue. The mouse cursor moves around, but I cannot click on any menus or icons on...
I just found out how well this removes heat from the Am29000. It was transferring all that heat to my Daystar PowerCache 50MHz Accelerator causing that to overheat. I had the Macintosh Display Card 8*24 GC in the NuBus slot closest to the IIci PDS slot. I moved it over to the middle NuBus slot...
I recently picked up a Macintosh Display Card 8*24 GC NuBus video card. The one thing I immediately noticed is how hot the Am29000 CPU got. I was looking for an inexpensive passive cooling solution and this is what I came up with. I found this 4 pack of aluminum coolers for $10.99 on Amazon. I...
Well, I finally got around to doing more testing and it turns out the Turbo 040 had a bad ROM chip. When I replaced it with a 4.1.1 version it is now working again!
I just acquired one. The reason I wanted one is that I remember reading about it years ago I was always fascinated by the fact it had an onboard Am29000 RISC CPU. It was like so many other things with Macs at the time, it was way out of my price range costing $2000 in 1990 . Now all these years...
I also found out that they do not work. No harm to the card or my IIci, but obviously there is a lot of misinformation about this online. I will just keep on the lookout for the proper 64-Pin SIMMs. No luck finding any right now.
I found a lot of 4 x 4MB 60ns IIfx memory. I can use the other two as spares. I intend to use the video card in a Mac IIci running System 7.1. I have read that System 7.5.x is not compatible, so I should be Ok with this setup.
The best deal on eBay were these two, but those are listed for an Amiga. Does anyone know if these would work? One is parity the other is non-parity. The other question is could they be used together on the video card?

I just got an Interware VDR-2a PDS video card with BIOS version 1.00 for my SE/30. I know there is at least 1.04 version for this card. Does anyone have a BIOS dump with a newer version available?
I got the Interware VDR-2a today and everything you said about it is true. No issues at all. What a dream to get a color display hooked up to my SE/30. The icing on the cake was the seller even included a VGA adapter with the sale. It was totally Plug-n-Play! :)
I picked up one a few months ago at the local Free Geek Twin Cities. It had everything except the speakers, so I just went with an inexpensive USB audio solution. No startup bong, but that is pretty minor.
I just got a TL866II programmer, so I will definitely give that a try. I don't have an Ultrasonic cleaner, but I am going to order a 22L unit as I have been meaning to get one anyway. Hopefully that will fix the issues with the Turbo 040. Thanks for you advise!
