Is the PDS slot in a LC III electrically compatible with the PDS slot in a LC 520/550? I am look at getting an accelerator for my LC III and it is listed for a LC 520/LC 550.
Thanks!
I was pointed to this open source project on Github for making your own 4MB PAL SIMMs in case you anyone is interested.

If you look at the listing on Tindie the last batch was sold Jan 19th 2023. I just wonder if anymore of these are going to be made given the length of time since they were last sold. I got lucky and there was a listing for 2 sets of 4x4MB PAL SIMMs on eBay that are tested with 30 day returns. I...
These are all 2MB 30-Pin SIMMS. I am trying to find out if these are PAL SIMMs and if they would work in a Macintosh II before I make an offer to the seller. The seller said they do work in a IIsi and Color Classic. I think the answer is no, but I just want to make sure. Any help would be...
Sure you can go the 68030 route, but it is not the same as having the 68020/68851 combo, which is what I was looking for. That is unique to the entire Macintosh line of computers.
I just wanted to add I did get another quote from www.ovaga.com that came in at $120. Again a bit steep, but it is another source if someone is looking for one.
I did some checking and was able to find a reliable source for purchasing one of these. I did find one other source but it was double the cost. Here is the weblink for a company in the Netherlands.

I just acquired a Macintosh II. Installing 8x4M 30-pin SIMMs, I get a black screen and a sad mac tone. 8x1MB 30-pin SIMMs work just fine. It does have the FDHD upgrade but, still has the Apple AMMU installed. The ROM version is $0178 according to the info screen in SpeedOMeter. So is this a ROM...
Finally I was finally able to track down 4x4MB 64-pin VRAM SIMMS for my Macintosh Display Card 8*24 GC. These came with a Supermac Thunder 24 GX. I will be putting in 4x1MB 64-Pin VRAM SIMMs in this card instead that I got from SilconInsider's Tindie store. I could not get the 1MB 64-pin VRAM...
The response I got back from MacEffects was that the issue is most likely due to issues with the sound chip at UB10. I checked that area with a 30x loupe and did not see any corrosion. They offered me a replacement accelerator or a refund, but I think it is something with the logic board at this...
The audio is works without the accelerator installed. The PSU is voltage also checks out. So at this point I can only think there is something with the accelerator causing the issue. I have contacted MacEffects to see what they have to say.
I just picked up a MacEffects Thunder PDS accelerator. With the accelerator installed the audio is distorted. Has anyone else had this problem with an LC II and a accelerator installed? If so, any known workarounds?
I finally threw in the towel trying to get the video card working on OS 9. That being the case I did the next best thing. I installed a Sapphire Radeon 7000 64MB PCI card. That is working just fine and is at least much better than the Rage Pro Turbo 6MB onboard video.
