Anyone have any details on this accelerator in this IIFX? I bought it in Japan and the snap on card looks like it says "Tech Noir" but the current HD appears to be missing a driver. The chip looks like an 040 - but I can't tell from the blurry photos.
Apparently this company ran the Nexus...
Hi I have a strange issue with a Color Classic w a Takky mods. Basically it boots when I have it tipped forward but when it's set upright normally it's almost like the screen shorts out after a few seconds. The LED and the screen power up and then immediately shut off. It seems to be related to...
Specially this piece - you can't just run that compression command out of the box in Terminal....
Compress the Disk Image
Next, you’ll compress the disk image file so that it fits in the space available in ROM. The compression format is FC8, a custom format that I designed specifically for...
The issue im having is that the BMOW documentation references a custom compression format so when I follow the command line prompts it doesn't recognize what I'm commanding. I can see the compression source code in C but I have no idea how I'd load that and run it in Terminal on a modern Mac.
Hey all - im using the wonderful new atx power supply adapter kit for my SE/30 and I switched to an adjustable voltage power supply and accidentally overloaded my se/30 and now the entire analog board won't power up. I changed the fuses on the adapter kit and switched PSUs so I know the problem...
Sure I'd love that although if it is currently without any connectors that's probably beyond my time availability. Would I just be testing the board? If so I can wait a cohort weeks for a prototype - I have a Mac II in dire need of one.
Ah thanks! I appreciate the info - do you have a sense of which adapters support the Sonnet accelerators. I have several different se/30 risers and adapters - just not sure I want to randomly try them all out w the Sonnet 040. Anyway - thank you.
Can anyone help with some details around the jumper settings on these two cards? One is a Bolle and one is an original unbranded card. There appear to be multiple places on each to specify Diimo or Daystar for the CS - and the original appears to have a whole chip to switch at C1? I'm somewhat...
Ethernet built into the riser? It doesn't come out? I had to turn my Macon vertical and stack the Micron on top. That stack right now nukes my whole machine - which I believe is a power issue as both work separately. I also have a tiny clearance issue w that rig up.
