Recommended SSD IDE Solutions for G3 iBooks?

I can't say it would not work, I'd be curious to know if it does, and I would probably try it. The prices on these things for mSATA have changed a lot even since I've done it, unfortunately 😕

Cheap and simple ADB to USB converter

I don't think you want/need DFU mode unless you need a new bootloader. Normally with Elite-C's I haven't had to change the bootloader (I know we PM'd about this, but just putting it out there). QMK toolbox usually installs the ADB firmware rather unceremoniously. The cheaper pro-micro clones I...

Reviving Mike Willegal's 'Brain Board' For Apple II computers

I've uploaded the Gerber / ROM / project files and a basic readme to Github, for future sake and so that folks do not need to register to download them. https://github.com/Alex-Kw/Brain-Board-II Today I tested "Worple," A cleverly coded wordle-like Apple 1 game that fits in 4K of memory. It...

Any suggestions for replacement rubber 'feet' for the Monitor ///?

I do the same. An Amazon assortment of black ones got me through many projects, though the ones in this auction do look pretty specific. Some of the ones I got in the assortment are close enough for Apple IIs which is awesome.

Oh very nice! Glad to hear :)

    Apple IIGS Stealth Upgrade

Hey, victory! Great to see :) If you're not keeping the faulty mouse card or don't have plans to repair it / use it for parts, I'd have a go at [fixing] it. I have several II's but only one mouse card here, and a decent shot at fixing it. No pressure but if you're willing to send it my way let...

    Apple IIGS Stealth Upgrade

What a gorgeous system, I would want the IIe style mouse too; I really hope you can get it sorted. All else fails head over to Apple Fritter forums, those guys know everything Apple II to an impressive degree.

    Apple IIGS Stealth Upgrade

Can't say for sure as I don't own a stealth IIGS. But I can say I have a stash of R6502's for faulty IIe mouse cards: https://anchor-electronics.com/product/6520-2mhz-peripheral-interface-adapter/

    Apple IIGS Stealth Upgrade

You might need to set it to 'Your Card' instead of Mouse port. I can't say as I've never tried my IIe mouse card in a IIGS. Can't hurt to try; realistically I don't see the system using the Apple II mouse interface unless the slot is configured for 'Your Card'.

Installing DaynaPORT drivers on Plus under System6?

Nice! I love being wrong sometimes :)

Installing DaynaPORT drivers on Plus under System6?

Am I living in a fever dream, or doesn't the DaynaPort need something like Open Transport or MacTCP to work, and don't those things not work on System 6? Someone kindly correct me if I'm wrong here, please.

Banana Pi BPI M2 Zero drop in replacement for Raspberry Pi Zero for RaSCSI?

Haha I like your thinking! Very resourceful :)

Banana Pi BPI M2 Zero drop in replacement for Raspberry Pi Zero for RaSCSI?

Sure would be nice. I have a project right now meant for a Pi 3, but the only one I have is my DNS server right now. And I'm not in a hurry to take a Pi 4 away from my RaSCSI just so I can steal the 3 for my other project (BMC64, C64 case and keyboard with R Pi C64 Emulator).

    baffling 800k floppy drive question

I'm not sure if this will help but when formatting on a IIgs you should have interleave options. 4:1 is easier for a drive than 2:1 and I don't know if mac formats default to the latter. Floppy heads don't read continously they skip sectors, so the tighter the interleave of the format the better...

    EPROM Programmer Recommendations

Sounds good, I'll have a look and presuming it checks out as the right file size for that chip, I'll send you a PM.

    EPROM Programmer Recommendations

2nd this. TL866 is economical and should be sufficient. If you just need a programmed 27c256 I have a pile; send me the file and I can help if you want (I am in MI).

Weekend-ish Haul: Apple IIe System w/ 2x Disk II, Apple Monitor II + MacBook, Floppies, CRT monitor, Keyboard, Books, & More

BMOW makes the Yellowstone disk controller that supports a lot of [3.5] drives. I recently tested one on my Laser 128. I use that disk controller for unidisk drives or the unidisk mode of a FloppyEMU. Also works with a FujuNet (pictured) :) It's not super cheap but it is a heck of a device...

What machine is better for playing Apple II games? (IIgs or LC+IIe card)

Your card will have come from reactive micro (if you ordered with a prepared card) with at least a couple 32MB partitions configured. Normally the 1st is a prodos utility disk that boots a file selection menu (bitsy bye), and the 2nd is a GSOS partition. In my case when I'm not using a IIgs I...

Recommended SSD IDE Solutions for G3 iBooks?

M.2 would be interesting, if I ever run into issues in the Pismo or need to upgrade another similar system I'll give it a shot. I normally try to use actual SSDs over CF or SD because of concern for longevity of multiple writes, but I can't scientifically back that up so don't take it as gospel...
