JLCPCB seems too good to be true

    Dang, thanks for confirming though.

JLCPCB seems too good to be true

Is there still the "panel by PCB" and "Panel by Customer" options? I admittedly never compared the pricing; are they charging a bunch for engineering regardless now?

    Think this ImageWriter II works?

Very nice! I didn't find it too bad getting my own IW II set up especially for single page, its getting a good setup for tractor feed with everything adjusted right to do banners that was the real exercise in patience and precision.

Font & Size of the letters G3 on the Blue & White case

I think so, but if you need one Cup of something you must first define it as a solid or liquid. The measurement is the same but not the instrument >_< I would be happy to use the metric system and cook by weight but it'll never become the standard here; I doubt it would have a chance to become...

PCI Card Compatibility with OS9, USB/FW Combo, Ethernet, Other

For usb using a PCI Sonnet combo Firewire/USB in a 7500 running OS 9.1, I just had to steal some USB drivers from the 9.2 install CD. There's a blog on it somewhere but I always lose the link.

That's honestly really compassionate and mindful. And I didn't take anything personally just in case you thought I may have.

I agree regarding his site, or anyones, but it would be nice if his reasons were clearly stated or made sense. There will always be entitled people. I wouldn't, personally. We are adults here and I don't feel like this has gotten disrespectful. The theme is mostly confused from what I gather...

Agreed, and some things can just go on Archive.org. Offloading an archive there and donating a few bucks a month to them instead is a lot cheaper in the long run.

All he did by taking it down is ensure a bunch of people will scrape it when it comes back up. On the surface, it makes it feel like he can't be trusted to maintain an archive in the best interest of the community anymore, so he brought this on himself IMHO (though people should pace their...

I didn't realize he was the guy who wrote 'The new apple II users guide.' Speaking as someone who actually bought his book, his behavior here is both confusing and disappointing; if you don't want to host things then stick them on archive.org yourself. And this is coming from someone who...

Agreed, pretty sad if that's the case here.

I'm speculating that part of their "widespread commoditzaion" complaint is all the clearly reproduction floppy copies of things like system software and popular apps/games.

If the goal is to stop people flipping copies on eBay, it's not really going to help. Those people have what they need. All one would be accomplishing by gatekeeping it at this point is helping the current scalpers have less competition.

The statement seems so contradictory. If you do not want people to commoditize it, then keep it available. This stance seems to conflict with their stance on devaluation. Hopefully the admin is just mad or something and comes around, but it's good reminder to back things up locally, offline...

LC with No SCSI Drives Recognised

Big facts. I think I'd do the same :) I always play it safe with SCSI. Even simple stuff like using the extra power connector on SCSI SD devices even if they can get by on termination power.

LC with No SCSI Drives Recognised

Is it a situation like an SE where both ends of the bus need terminated? Good job so far.

What I learned fiddling with CRT magnets...

I can't speak to how well it would work on specific Mac monitors, but arcade monitors 25" and over almost always have corners with the colors out of convergence. This is the concept demonstrated, and the same method I use. I always have a 2nd person for safety and I trust their eyes when they...
