I'm back - a few things I tried…
Installed 2.5 MB of RAM on the Logic Board
Booted into System 7
Booted into System 6 with the HyperCharger driver and control panel - hangs on boot
Put in the Mobius drivers in System 6 - boots
Still getting those last two disabled items from the Mobius control...
Also, setting the cache didn't change anything, but it might not have any effect since I have 4 MB of RAM on the Logic Board.
I also noticed that "Copy ROM to 32-bit RAM" isn't working in the screenshot above.
Ok, so I installed those 1 MB SIMMs and I got a Sad Mac (bad SIMM), and replaced them with the 4 MB SIMMs that came from the seller. I was a bit confused with the other modules they sent, but they were indeed 1 MB each, so I have 4 MB on the Logic Board, and 4 MB on the accelerator.
I don't...
I'll give this a shot!
One issue I think I'll run into – this board arrived with 2.5 MB, and it has the revision with resistors instead of jumpers.
Will I run into any issues going back down to 1 MB? Both R35 and R36 were removed for the upgrade.
(Photo attached is old - I was in the middle of...
I'll need to take a screenshot of the machine booted, but I noticed that in HyperCharger '020 control panel, there is some text on the bottom that reads "ROM Copy not installed" - I'm wondering if this accelerator needs to "copy" its ROM into RAM so it can break the RAM limit?
I was thinking that as well, but it does not - with the way I have it set up now, I have 4MB that I harvested from my dead SE/30 on the SE's logic board, and on that accelerator, I tried it with both the 1MB it shipped with (no change to my RAM amount, still listing as 4MB in About this...
Good morning, folks!
With the help of @Phipli , I was able to track down and purchase a HyperCharger '020 accelerator for my SE.
Here's the original listing:

Hey there, Rick and Fred!
Sorry about the late reply.
I'm going to do another clean with the suggestions above as well as getting the RTC chip out (or better photos of it.)
My father suggested I try some of this:
https://www.crcindustries.com/products/qd-174-electronic-cleaner-11-wt-oz.html...
Sorry about the delay – I had a busy week.
I gave the board another clean in isopropyl alcohol and took another set of photos in different angles and closeups.
I also took photos of the SE/30's ROM module.
A quick note about the RAM – I took the RAM out of this board (SE/30) and put it in my...
Thank you so much for looking it over, rickrob!
I'll get the board out again tonight and will give it a thorough clean near the battery area, and I'll take some more photos.
Besides those missing components, the RTC chip's legs are in rough shape on one side. I'll try getting it as clean as I...
UPDATE: When I took photos of the logic board last night for this post, I was able to flake off bits of the corrosion near the battery - it came off without any noticeable damage to the PCB underneath, and the traces seemed ok (but just because I can't see any damage, doesn't mean it isn't...
Hello there, I’m new to the forums, but have been lurking for a while. :)
I’ve recently been returning to my roots in vintage Mac collecting, and I picked up a Macintosh SE. This machine runs great besides a dying hard drive (I’m using a BlueSCSI) and flakey floppy drive, but I’ll talk more...
