Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
I’ve been looking for a while with no luck. But finally got a Quadra 700. It was disgustingly filthy (I think mice lived in it??!!) but after a good scrub it turned out nice (and working!!). €250 incl. international shipping (within EU) so feels like a OK deal.
(God is Lemmings more fun in...
Not yet unfortunately. I got some help with swapping the F253’s but unfortunately there was some miscommunication and he only replaced the ones that visually looked bad / corroded. And that did not help, but from what I could understand from the schematics that did not include the ones for the...
@tcole I have the same issue with one of my SE/30 boards. The other works perfectly. Might be due to a faulty muxer (probably one of the F253’s I’ve been told).
Other things to check is the contact issue mentioned above, and also to ensure you’re filling both banks (I believe this is a must...
I hereby volunteer in building wire harnesses should that help in opening this project up to a bigger part of the community. Having built countless of fpv drones dealing with wire messes and crimping connectors doesn’t feel to alien or annoying to me :). I’m based in Sweden so shipping back to...
Go to check it out and bring your screwdriver, request that you want to check out potential battery/caps damage before you commit. Sneakingly trying to identify the card when you open it up :).
The backplate for those had both connectors on them, so still doesn’t check out 100%. At least we know some had some version of a DB15 on them..
Show him some of all the leboncoin ads selling SE’s for €50-100 😉. Good luck and let us know what you find!
The DisplayServer cards came with both a DB15 and a DB9, and I belive there were some accelerator cards offering an optional display out port. Anyhow, now that you’ve got us all intrigued you simply have to buy it and let us know 😅
What are they asking for it?
Just picked up this portable tv from around early 2000’s. Almost seems like a far related family member, you can clearly see where they got their inspiration from.
A small bummer was that it turned out to be 10” although the spec sheet said 9”. I guess due to the total/visible spec difference...
I posted a pic of my ColorCard SE/30 here: https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/supermac-spectrum-24-project.25793/post-457522
What SE/30 card do you have? In case it got lost in the thread, I’m looking for a rom dump of the Spectrum SE/30 😊
Don't know if it's of any help, but just stumbled upon these SuperMac roms uploaded to archive.org for the Spectrum/8 III, Spectrum PDQ and the Thunder 24. Perhaps can be useful to compare against your dumps or different versions perhaps? https://www.buriedbits.org/a-whole-lotta-roms
I’m over here holding thumbs that 1) Beachycove on Flickr is the same as @beachycove here 2) He still has his card and 3) is willing to dump or have his rom dumped by someone 😂
Thanks, that strenghtens my belief these are indeed the same card, with just the rom being different.
According to the info I could find, the Specteum variant came first retailing for $1895 supporting up to 1024*768 at 256 colors. They later followed up with the budget oriented ”ColorCard”...
Well, after a new round of googling I managed to find the below image
Is it from you @beachycove ? Our cards look identical, would be super interesting to try the rom you have and see what that does :)
Super interesting thread. I have a somewhat related hypothesis on these cards. I just acquired a Supermac ColorCard SE/30 (courtesy of fellow 68kmla user @ktkm). After having vacuumed the web for details (not that I managed to find that much), I'm hoping this card may be identical hardware wise...
@joshc Thank you! Unfortunately havn’t had that much time to play around with it due to having two small kids, but at least I’m enjoying the looks off it often :)
@olePigeon I know! That’s what I love most about it!
