Yup, just like on an SE or SE/30. Both the IIcx and IIci have one. Is in the upper right corner, just below the case lid. You can barely make out the lens for it in my avatar.

Check on the underside where the SCSI jumpers are. Usually there's a terminal to add one. Just looked. Doesn't look like IBM provided a terminal for adding a LED.

Yup, pretty much. With some thicker rubber feet on said compact Mac, though, you should be able to get a M0115 to fit under the lip/overhang. Won't take much.

The zero track sensor can be adjusted. Loosen up the screw, then move it slightly, until the drive operates normally. The stepper motor will probably still need to be adjusted, though. -J

Is there any software installed on the hard drive that has a security feature, preventing use of the floppy drive? If you are running System 7 on the hard drive, hold down the shift key to boot with extensions off, then try using the floppy drive. If it works, then there's either an extension...

Do you have a language card that you can install in slot 0? At least you're having better luck than I did with the ][ I owned in 2012. Only got garbage on the screen with it.

Since it is booting partially, next time you turn it on, hold down the shift key and wait until you see the "Extensions Off (or Extensions Disabled)" message. See if it boots all the way. If it does, then you probably have an extension or a control panel that's causing a conflict, freezing the...

Got the II, IIx, and IIfx switch off the 'bay. For the IIcx/ci switch assembly, I'd get in touch with Herb Johnson (runs the retrotechnology.com site). He usually has them available. In fact, he's who I contacted last year about getting an assembly for my IIci.

Corrected last sentence in previous post. Anyway, have a programmer's switch assembly coming for the IIfx. Got it for $19.59 shipped and taxed.

Even the logic board has two SCSI controllers, as both @Phipli and @Bolle mention above. My non-WGS 95 Quadra 950 shows two SCSI busses in SCSIProbe under System 7.5...

That typically seems to be the case with earlier PowerMacs. The newer the OS, the more stable they get. Even my 7100/80 seemed a lot more stable on 8.6 than it was, running either 7.5.5 or 8.1.

Remember, I mentioned that I was able to access burned media on my old Centris 650, which was a 68040 machine. A couple generations older than a PowerPC 603 series powered machine. IIRC, I even booted it using a burned disc from my MBP.
