I shipped out a similar machine (eBay auction) a few years ago- a Performa 575- and also learned the hard way just how difficult it is to ship one of those old all-in-one Macs! I think that the trick is to put the machine monitor-down in the shipping box.....after you've laid down a boat load...
@mac_enthusiast -Yes, I could still get the computer to boot-just with a few less accessories. I agree with Joynnya101, sometimes a bad PSU can exhibit itself as several different symptoms. Long and short of it, if you do have access to another Mac SE or SE/30, try using the power supply from...
I use a service called Fastmail for my email. And one of the coolest things I accidentally discovered about it is that it can make websites that are viewable on your classic Mac! I also like the fact that it is not a Google product, but I digress.
When you sign up for an email account with...
@mac_enthusiast -I wonder if your problem doesn't have anything to do with the card, but possibly the output voltage from your power supply? I was having a similar problem with my SE/30; for a while, it worked fine with a network card, Daystar 030 accelerator, and a Grand Vimage video card...
Congrats on the find @Skate323k137 ! Other than the yellowing, the setup looks like it is in great cosmetic shape. It's a good candidate for retrobriting!
Here's a screen shot of the information from Snooper, although it is erroneously reporting that the card is running at 43Mhz (it isn't, just 16Mhz):

And yes, the sound works great, tested with a round of "Creepy Castle!":
Oddly enough, the MicroMac uses a driver that was made...
Hey @Sedorikku-taouno -Well, for just a little bit, I was able to get 16mb of RAM working on my NewLife accelerator! And now when I try to use it, every time I boot the computer in gives me a finder error. Go figure.....
The good news is that I was able to get one of my other accelerators to...
@MOS8_030: I've seen other who have gotten 16mb of RAM to work with their SE's. My guess is that the firmware on the accelerator card make the machine 32-bit clean, thus giving it the ability to use more RAM....but I'm not sure.
However, I have never as of yet been able to get it to recognize more than 4mb of RAM. I actually have three different accelerators for the SE that can accept (theoretically) up to 16mb of RAM, but I've never been able to get any of them to recognize more than 4mb, no matter what type of RAM...
@Sedorikku-taouno:
I've got a Newlife accelerator as well, and I can confirm that yes indeed, that is a co-processor slot! Here's a shot of mine with the co-processor installed:
@Franklinstein -Thanks! Yea, my biggest concern was the pinout compatibility. I think that I found the same eBay auction that Verault did- some guy selling the NCR 5380 -40 SCSI chips. But I also found someone selling L5380JC-2 chips made by Logic Devices, and was unsure if those would work...
@olePigeon -I usually get an email notification before my stuff gets delivered asking me if I want contact-less delivery. I electronically sign the email form, and they leave my stuff on the front porch without me ever having to interact with anyone. So far, I haven't had any problems...
@Verault -how did you make out with this? I am currently working on another SE/30 board; I've recapped it and it all works well....except for the SCSI part. Without a doubt, the chip has to be replaced. Were you able to find a PLC-44 SCSI chip that works?
@ArmorAlley -Other than the drivers for the Grand Vimage 24-16s Interware video card (which I've posted to the Macintosh Repository), I've never been able to find the drivers for any of the interware accelerators. They must be out there somewhere, but no luck so far!
@olePigeon -I haven't had...
So the other week I bid on an SE/30 from Yahoo Japan. I new that it had a video card in it, but I didn't know what it was. It just came today; and not only does it have an Interware VDR-2j video card in it, but it also has an Interware 68030 50Mhz pass-through accelerator!
I don't think the...
@micheledipaola - if you're interested, here is an Interware Booster 30-50f for sale on Yahoo Japan:
https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/g1023724478?conversionType=search_suggest_history
@micheledipaola -I was gonna say, that looks like a card for one of the LC's! I have a CV 40-40 Interware Booster myself; somewhere I have the cache card for it. But yea, that connector on the back of it is indeed a cache memory connector.
@micheledipaola -Sounds good! It looks like Interware made several 680x0 boosters; I also have an Interware 30-33f booster from them (that would need an adapter to work with an SE/30) that unfortunately doesn't work.
