I was able to compile and got it running. It’s very useful to set the correct & accurate time! However, it could be just my Mac but every file had strange characters at the beginning and I had to delete those. But once I did that and compiled, it ran fine! Thank you!
Thank you. I will try PS3 on the emulator tonight. The emulators run faster than my real 68k macs. Lol. I will report back later of my results. Thanks again!
Décor works fine but does anybody know how to convert images to a PICT format other than using the online service? I have a Pixelmator and GIMP but couldn't figure it out.
I never owned IIsi but obviously IIsi can do everything what SE/30 can do and more For me, SE & SE/30 were the first Apple Macs I used (my family had...) as a kid. very nostalgic! and so all I really need is just SE & SE/30. But If I were you, I would keep both!
Would 7.1.2 be better than 7.1.1 for 68030 like se/30? I know 7.1.2 meant for PowerPC processors but wondering if it’s stable or less stable. Etc. for 68k like 68030.
Looking forward to see where this project is going! Also I am going to start looking into the HyperCard HyperTalk as phipli suggested. What would be the best version to play around with 68k macs like SE & SE/30.
uyjulian, thank you again. I was able to run the LaCie Silverlining driver installer on the first drive (SCSI ID 0 - AUX drive) and boot A/UX. 5GB drive automatically got mounted on /opt as well. thank you. now, It time to use/play with AUX!
uyjulian, thank you! I was able to mount the 5GB partition. I'm learning a lot! I will try the "another way". I will have to find the way to attach the disk after the boot since my bluescsi v1.1 is internal. Thank you very much for great tips and insights!!! A/UX is just so fascinating!
Does anybody has /etc/fstab or mount command for that 5GB partition (not the 2GB a/ux partition)? Apparently, I don't know how to mount the drive. I keep getting "cannot determine the file type" error when I try to mount it. It is also possible that the partition itself is not good...
for whatever the reason, it just does not like that aux mac partition. Sad mac error 21 just by having that partition named with .hda file name. Funny thing is, LaCie Silverlining driver see the 5GB partition (Jagu partition?) just fine. I even tried to boot with a 7.1 floppy but then system...
Thank you. I did #1 before. Two .hda files from #1 throws sad Mac with error 21. I also tried the “force scsi 0 then 1” solution but no luck. it always throws sad Mac with error 21.
As for #2. I am not sure how to do that. Did you mean like boot into regular MacOS to do some kind of disk...
Anybody successfully used aux_sdcar@github using a bluescsi v1.1? It looks like the easier (if not best) way to get A/UX running with bash shell and gcc all set up.
