Yep-- $25 each in my town for disposal.
That's a tough choice for me between a SE/30 and a Mystic CC. I'd probably keep the Mystic because it's so much faster than the SE/30 (and Color).
I found some thick ( .020 ) PTFE tape with adhesive, but it's pretty expensive -- $20 for 15 ft x .5 inch. That is enough to re-do the strips on a lot of mice.

i wonder if .020 might be too thick
That I found on the side of the road. That brought me here in 2014, looking for info on the problems with it.
So I started hanging out and reading here, and I ended up with this...
How does this happen? :)
G4 Cube, 1.5GB RAM, 120MB Drive. Modded with Dual G4-500's, a Radeon 7500 and a fan...
Got it-- I thought you might have been just looking for a date of manufacture. On another note, I think there were some versions of the Turbo 040's with a small daughter card on the back. My guess is those were the earlier versions, or maybe the SE/30 version??

I was just about to ask if anyone had a list of caps for the Astec PSU's -- The PSU in my IIci still works, but might as well re-cap it.
I'll find the part numbers at Mouser and add to this post.
I think the problem would be in the power supply / analog board. You could remove the logic board and power it up and see if it blows the fuse, but I would check for shorted / damaged components on the analog board first.
I successfully rebuilt my PB500 battery. I glued it back together with Epoxy. Once I got it back together, I used the Intelligent Battery Recondition and another utility from Lund and reset the battery. Once charged, I get a little more than two hours life from it.
I opened up my second...
OK-- I updated my SCSI2SD and tried my PB540. I tried Special->Sleep and also let the unit spin down the drive after 4 minutes.
This fix works for me. Thanks to finkmac and techfury90.
Same here-- never had an issue. I just copied the entire drive over to an external hard drive, then back once the new drive was installed.
Gerry-- I have a utility that I just found on a 92' Developer CD. It's called 'Blesser'. I can send you that if you want. It might help if you run into the...
