For why more speed on B/W Macs, I would say:  development (THINK C, etc.) general system snappiness. Try using miniVmac at like 4x speed, then a mac 128/512/plus/classic for general tasks. You'll notice a big usability difference. (not speed, but memory): having more than 4MB would be...

Well, neat!  Not that I want to manage a rasberry pi inside a compact mac case, but gotta love it. 

I'm not entirely sure, but I *think* that's basically an entire Amiga on a Raspberry PI. It has an image of the OS and it's also generating its own video. This is the first I've heard about it, so I could easily be wrong though.  I'm not saying I would say no to a similar mac project, if it fit...

That's a good question. I guess my assumption is that WaitNextEvent has GetNextEvent in its own call chain. But another possibility is that the very few apps I tested with hadn't been written with WaitNextEvent, but were still doing GetNextEvent. Seems unlikely, but I suppose it's possible.

I have been doing some dev on my Plus recently, with 6.0.8. One thing I miss is a DragThing type dock, or any kind of customizable launcher for my favorite apps. There are lots of choices for 7.5+, and I think even for 7.1, but I haven't found much for 6. I came across this reference to Now...

Ok, found a dumb bug that explained my confusion about the keycodes=charcodes.  This version de-capitalizes alpha keys too, so the idea is the user can just leave caps lock on until they need =, [, ], \.  I'll get a GitHub up soon, but I threw the source into it for now. it's a Think C 5.0...
