To detect the swivel part, wouldn't a mercury switch be useful? Presumably they still sell them. Otherwise you can steal one off an old thermostat.

I don't have files longer than 31, System 7 will complain. However, I run into limits when encoding files, especially Disk Images. I use ".img" for DC6 images, and ".image" for DC4 images. So if I have a disk image of something like "More After Dark Disk 1.image" and then BinHex encode it...

@jibsaramnim Do you have VRAM installed? If so, try removing it. For some reason on the Color Classic, having VRAM installed can conflict with some LC PDS cards. For example, you can't use the IIe card with VRAM installed.

Hmm. Sound issues are almost always capacitors on an LC, but you've already recapped. Did you already try zapping the PRAM?

Your system is missing icons and stuff. Are you sure it isn't corrupted? Have you done a clean install of System 7 for the LC?

There's an incompatibility with the 8600 & 9600 for some reason. CPU won't run faster than 100 MHz or something like that. I can't quite remember what the limitation was. Would be cool if someone could somehow update it and patch it to run G4s and G5s. Haiku just isn't the same. :(
