Macintosh 128K board with custom 512KB upgrade

@Epictronics Woo! Big fan of your channel. :D I think it's in reference to the original "Dr. Dobb" who wrote an article called "Dr. Dobb's Journal." He did several DIY tutorials on how to upgrade your original Mac. Here's the 512K upgrade I found just Googling around, but I believe it can be...

Does anyone else get excited when something as simple as locking latches are different colors?

    Salvation Archive

I see no problem with additional archives even if people don't like the way it's implemented. Redundancy is good.

The "POS Mac" / Daystar PowerCache SE/30 Restoration and Re-Build Thread

Nice job. I love the custom purpose Macs. My IIfx has a nice badge painted with the Crosfield logo. There were a handful of IIfx machines sold with Scanning Tunneling Microscopes and MRIs. I wonder if they had custom badges to go with them? I wouldn't be surprised if there was Point of Sale...

    A thread for RackMacs

@Jockelill No additional pictures of the rear at the moment, but you can get the idea in the 1st picture. It's essentially just a metal version of the IIfx rear.

    A thread for RackMacs

If anyone is wondering, the screws for the top metal cover are quick release screws. Just a 1/2 turn and they pop up. Makes it easy to take off. The video card marked "bad" is actually good, it was repaired before being put back in. The repair is on the backside of the card. Likewise with...

    A thread for RackMacs

I completely dropped the ball and forgot to post the link to the pictures of my IIfx. Better late than never, I guess. Here they are: http://wreckcenter.com/nasaiifx/

    Color Dark Castle

I think a lot of Japanese games are packaged that way, especially Sharp and MSX games. I really like that alternate artwork on the front cover. Would love a scan when you get around to it just to recreate it pixel-for-pixel.

    Color Dark Castle

@zefrenchtoon Wow, that's pretty cool. Is the game itself in Japanese? I'm sure it'd be great to put the scans up on Macintosh Garden.

    IIci nice surprise

Hard to say the price. Seem to go for between $500 to $700, but there are a LOT of fake auctions right now that are multiple bots selling the exact same item from Japan for a stupidly inflated price that might affect the sale price. They're fantastic accelerators, especially for a IIci. Your...

    Anyone refurb 400K Floppy drives?

They're not hard (mechanically.) It's just that the grease likes to harden and crystalize. It's a lot of physical work to safely loosen up the grease. I just used IPA. * Edit: I just found out that "crystalize" is spelled four different ways: crystalize, crystallize, crystalise, and...

MicroMac Power WorkStation - Did anyone ever buy one?

Their exact reply was, "Maybe but not sure when i will get them." So who knows.

MicroMac Power WorkStation - Did anyone ever buy one?

@KennyPowers I just messaged the seller on eBay. They said they might still have access to the machine from where they pulled the adapter and upgrades. Hopefully they'll keep in contact and let me know. :)

MicroMac Power WorkStation - Did anyone ever buy one?

@KennyPowers Hmm. I wonder if the seller has the rest of the machines still?

    MacTuner 2.1.5 on 68k?

Hmm. I wonder if a Radius Rocket would make for an overpriced and over-engineered MP3 player.

    Nick's finds

FYI: Sun also used a 13W3 cable that was not pin compatible with Apple's 13W3. So even with an switch adapter, it won't work.
