Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
@MindWalker beat me to it :P that pano is awesome! You're probably the only person in 2021 to have created a panorama with a QuickTake :D Hopefully I'll have some free time in a few weeks to give it a proper try. How was it by accident? I'm guessing you used a tripod? That or you're a surgeon...
Decided to try something a little different this evening after finally getting the Kanga loaded up proper after all this time (from the 1400c)
That was to use MS Office 98 to write up a blog-styled outting using the QuickTake 200 photos embedded, something you would have certainly done in the...
I don't know how much you paid for your Nikon (they appear to be going for $300 on eBay right now?) or what part of the world you're in, but you can find a QuickTake 150 generally under $50 in the U.S. if you wait and or make offers. There's a ton of them out there (like 20+ listed currently)...
No time better than now to learn German! ;-)
I'm not sure if the software for the 200 is on this disc (I don't see why it wouldn't be) but I know the 150 software was on there, maybe give it a looksy...
I managed to get an 8GB CF card with adapter to work in my 1400 but it sounds like you’re having other hardware issues if it’s not detecting the smaller drives. Did you also try a complete reset of the machine?
lol that's hilarious and great all at the same time :D It's funny, on the 200 I had no idea you could view multiple thumbnails until I saw the box and was like wait a minute, it can't do that -- read the manual -- turns out it can do that lol
Yeah, I'm down the rabbit hole of making that...
Super cool seeing others post their shots with these cameras, thanks for sharing - love seeing them!
Any comments or questions regarding the camera while using it yet in public yet? lol
It may be an odd thing to miss? but I do find myself missing the AOL days. You knew when you had mail and when an attachment or photo was added with the icon. The interface was charming and it served a dedicated purpose. I think most importantly it wasn’t always connected like phones are today...
It's really wild to see it working on your IIcx like that and then the PICTs loading up in grayscale, appreciate you sharing :D
Haven't really had time to go out anywhere for more shots but my favorite time of the year is coming soon so I'm really looking forward to the colorful leaves and what...
Damn, those turned out great! To the point I was initially questioning their authenticity at first glance on my iPhone lol
Zooming in reveals the authentic QuickTake color artifacts :D and the last photo is a dead giveaway but that first and third pic!
are you using Photoflash and/or...
Looking for tips/advice for merging or stitching photos together to create panoramic images from someone who has experimented with it in the 90s before everything was done automatically by software.
I’m aware of Photomerge existing for Photoshop now but that’s not an option to use and I’m sure...
That's too cool! :D and I agree, you should definitely give it the purple Sonnet treatment! Appreciate you sharing the internals, I've never seen a CPU that overhangs like that in a socket. Amazes me after 30+ years with the hobby of computers the things that take me by surprise as a first time...
I ran across a photo from Blakespot a while back and have lusted over it ever since. Doubt I'll ever be able to find a complete setup with CRT in decent enough condition to bother purchasing or to justify making room I don't really have but would like to at least live vicariously through all of...
So I've had this 2X Telephoto Lens for a while now and tried it out tonight. Unfortunately it must just be too big (or this particular lens) because the Tiffen catalog does have a 2X photo lens for the QuickTakes... or maybe this is just a side effect of using it, the vignetting or black ring...
You certainly should! Might I ask where in the world you are located? I just noticed on your profile you're located in Finland, cool :D I noticed the scooter in the lower left and yeah, Photoshopping these can certainly help bring them to life, even in all their low resolution glory.
Funny to...
Having acquired a MessagePad 130 earlier this year, the newness has worn off but I still find myself unusually compelled to continue using it. Generally late at night will find myself wanting to jot down mental notes or otherwise and continue to feel like it's a good place to write it all down...
