    zip 100 plus drive

I have also noticed that somehow people have no idea how to read and then accurately type the model number. Yes it is actually a plus. yeah i have scsi probe installed, doesn't see it at all. I think i may be having a power supply problem now though. so thats 2 votes for special cable and one...

    zip 100 plus drive

I picked up a zip 100 plus drive that in theory can do either scsi or parallel. I'm not getting any luck using it with my mac, but found some one mentioned that you need their special cable that came with it. Can anyone verify this?

    Odd screen defect appeared.

This odd defect appeared on my PowerBook 145 after being on for a while. Any idea what the cause is or if it’s fixable? Is it related to needing to replace the caps?

    Two SEs & Accessories - $300

if the hard drive isnt working try taking it apart carefully and spinning the platters. you might be able to just get the board off the bottom and access the motor that way so you dont have to risk dust.

Can any one identify what this might be?

HDD is unhappy, i'll try to revive it but you know how these piles of spinning rust are. Fully decked out with 4mb of ram though, which is great because I don't even have to think about touching the plastic RAM sockets. The computer is also covered in children's stickers so I'm not sure if the...

Another Color Classic that wont power on.

Thanks for checking. That makes sense at least. but now I'm not really sure where that connects besides a resistor. Ill pull that bodge off and try leaving it with some power for a few minutes.

Another Color Classic that wont power on.

Can anyone confirm that pin 16 of U7(CUDA) connects to pin 16 of U16? This is shown on the bomarc schematic but ive already found errors on this page. and another page of the schematic says pin 16 of U16 is the A23 line.

    Powerbook 145 floppy drive non-responsive

Heads look good. Ribbon cables were both good. Even if the heads were bad, I would expect it to try to seek tracks.

    Powerbook 145 floppy drive non-responsive

I have a powerbook 145 that I am trying to repair with a parts 140 I have. Everything works except the floppy. I tried both that I have and got the same result, nothing. It doesn't do anything at all if you put any disk in it. no head movement, no spinning, the computer doesn't seem to notice at...
