Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
I wish I could make heads or tails of Forth yet...but...
Trying this out for a mini, PowerMac10,1. Doesn't crash but doesn't seem to probe USB at all with the G5 patch. How did you discover the patch values, basically detoking the firmware?
I imagine the procedure is to dump the firmware...
Huh....so 4.2.8f1, 4.5.7f1, and 4.6.0f1 do scan for USB at boot and present it in the picker? I swear I just read another thread where people were saying they saw USB in the picker on pre Mac mini, but maybe I'm imagining things.
I too was tempted by that listing! All that plastic broke off in shipping?
As the owner of an O2, I can attest to how horrifically brittle they are now. I have to lift it a specific way to support the bottom after the back partially cracked off under its own weight. If I dropped it I'm sure the...
I still need to update this with QFP data, but the masks should be correct here and match PGA as well as QFP:

That's all sourced from Motorola catalogs and process change notifications. I sadly haven't found a great source for dates, but...
I find I keep running into this problem...when installing network peripherals on 8.1 somehow OpenTransport gets damaged and stops working. Applications report various errors, like "cannot open resolver", claiming too many network connections are open, or just outright failing.
AppleTalk works...
So, it's been benchmarked here before that the AsanteFAST 10/100 Ethernet card...just isn't too fast. Unsurprisingly older OT just can't push very quick anyway, and so the returns are really diminished...
I've read that there's a belief that the market demands (and maybe this is true in China) new-looking chips, and the salvagers don't really know what the markings mean so they just pick something to paint on it and call it a day. Even when that lowers the ratings...
I'm trying to understand some parts of the eMac hardware layout, but I don't have one on hand.
Does anyone have dumps from any of TattleTech, the LSPCI application, or the Open Firmware device tree?
Preferably from the OS 9-compatible eMacs.
The best way to get the most accurate clone would be SCSI Initiator mode with a PiSCSI, ZuluSCSI, or BlueSCSI. They'll do an entirely offline (no operating system drivers to do something cute) clone from the disks themselves so you can be assured everything would copy bit-perfect.
If there's...
From the manual:
It's possible these only work with 2A USB ports...though confusingly it advertises a "low gain mode" which it also implies needs less power.
Maybe try low gain mode? Older Macs definitely can't put out 2A over USB.
I'm totally crashing this thread but...yeah I'm running hEX as well. Openwrt is actually really nice on them (unlike RouterOS, it supports hardware accelerated IPv6). Don't get BGP and stuff without a lot more effort than RouterOS but it's good enough for home.
I've got an RTL-SDR running ADS-B...
