    Bridge Mac

Thanks. Never thought of a beige G3. But I understand the possibilities. So serial, scsi and usb is all possible? I can see the advantage of having a serial port, and that’s not possible with a G3 or G4, is it? So I will be on the lookout for a G3 tower or desktop.

    Bridge Mac

What would be a good bridge Mac? I’m trying to revive a SE/30 and maybe some more compacts in the future. My software is on all kinds of hard disks, (USB and SCSI) floppy’s, CD’s, etc. I’m thinking of a PowerMac G4 with USB and SCSI and a external floppy drive. Would that be a good idea? If so...

Trying to remember SCSI CD-ROM drive, Battery powered

I know exactly which one you mean but I can’t recall the name. It starts with para I believe. They also made sound accessoires for the Mac.

    Any ideas? SE/30 with squares

The SE/30 is with fellow board member marcelv for a recap of the motherboard. Very curious to find out what the result will be.

    Any ideas? SE/30 with squares

I just checked the floppy drive. It sounds and looks good and in between the squares on the screen I can see very familiar things.

    Any ideas? SE/30 with squares

Thanks. Fellow forum member 'Bolle' explained this to me. So I might as well start with the motherboard first. And maybe I will let Bolle do the job because he lives in Germany.

    Any ideas? SE/30 with squares

Thanks. I'm in The Netherlands. I already found somebody who can do this but we only talked about caps on the logic board and the analog board. Not the SMD's. That was something between 100 euro and 150 euro. But if he also has to exchange the SMD's I think it will be more of course. I will...

    Any ideas? SE/30 with squares

It makes me wonder: What should be recapped on this SE/30? Everything? And what exactly is everything?

    Any ideas? SE/30 with squares

No it's not recapped yet. Logic board was fairly clean. No exploded battery. I have cleaned it already. I like to have an idea if this is worth staving. BTW I can see that it is asking for a boot floppy.

Macintosh Plus with internal SyMBiotic 20 MB hard disk

Looks great! A quick Google search reveals lots of pages about a Symbiotic hard drive for the Apple II. Haven't found anything about a drive in a Plus.

Minolta Dimage Scan Dual film scanner

Which one do you have? I've got a Konica-Minolta Dimage Dia/Neg. Scan Dual IV with the original driver cd's. I would gladly upload the drivers somewhere. I use it with Vuescan these days. Great piece of software.
