Introducing... TashRecorder!
Elevator Pitch
This a compatible clone of the Farallon MacRecorder , but as far as the software is concerned, it's the real deal!
Both @tashtari and myself (since 2021!) had this project on our own, one of us having a working...
My bad, PIC12F1501 is the correct one, I'm submitting a PR to correct this now.
PICKit 3 is listed as compatible by MPLAB IDE v8.92 over here. Although I programmed it using a T48
Well the Gravis GamePad protocol can only handle 8 buttons, so unfortunately not based off this project. Start/Select are also used internally to switch from keyboard and mouse mode
Thank you!
Noted, will make a thread in the trading section for that!
That should work, IIRC that GamePad was supported by GameSprocket. Assuming the late version still have ADB support, it may work.
After a quick search, in his blog, @Dandu tested the OG GamePad and it worked with InputSprocket 1.4 but...
Thank you!
Good question. Unfortunately the GamePad protocol couldn't handle L or R buttons, so they were aliased to red and blue
As for compatibility, since the Gravis GamePad is basically a programmable keyboard and mouse device, It's useable with any games where you used the keyboard or...
Some more informations
ADB
TashPad is sporting two ADB ports on the back, so if even if your Mac only has one free port, you can still use TashPad by daisy chaining it, for example between your Keyboard and your Mouse
You will need an ADB or S-Video cable for that (the shortest the best, as...
Alright, firmware v1.4.6 is out
Thanks to @tashtari help, we were able to add support for composite devices. This should work with (I hope) all Kensington devices and a few more (a few joysticks are already working as a bonus). I'm still waiting for the trackball I bough last week to double...
The Logitech with probably work.
Tried with a Kensington Mouse and it didn't work. Turns out @tashtari found why, Kensington pointing devices are composite (long story short: they show up as two different devices on the bus)
I need to implement a workaround for that, if possible. To double...
Not for me, but it may be interesting of other people show up. I wouldn't bother to open it if not needed as the plastic may break
Thanks. Nice article! Unfortunately the chip on the patch panel doesn't seem to exist on ISA cards
It will not work, it's only for 128k/512k/Plus lisa for now. The ADB connector is for plugin an ADB mouse
Yes they are. PM me if interested. The firmware is even upgraded from time to time to improve the bluetooth side. I try to keep a stash around.
Not 100% sure if every ADB trackball is...
Always impressive, nice job !
Shooting ideas
- I've had capacitance issue with some level shifters. They get noisy on all the bus, not sure you have some in there
- weak pulldown on /STERM ? (like 10-47k ?). How low is the voltage going ?
Maybe some EMI issue ? The IIsi developer notes states...
