    Shaphire Radeon 7000 issue

Yeah looks like memory issues, either timing or frequency. Some VRAM chips needs different settings than what the stock ROM does

Credits where it's due, I stole that idea from old AV gear where they usually did this with smoked translucent panels You are welcome! Thanks for your help as well! PR done, let me know if something needs improvement

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

Thanks! Yes that's what they are doing. LEDs are kinda bright, and there is a small bleeding (not close enough) but it works fine.

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

More dusting off! there is some updates coming in the GitHub, mostly BOM updates of obsolete components, and also FR-4 panels to use with Hammond 1455L801case. The PCB stays the same @Chopsticks printable case is the smarter way to have a nice enclosure, but if you do not have access to a 3D...

    840AV dead PSU

IIRC the +5V budget per NuBus slot is 2A. So if no cards, that's 6A off. Worst case, you can always use DCDC 12 to 5V converters for the drives, fans and stuff outside of the logic board

    840AV dead PSU

That's not exactly true. back in early 2000 cheap ATXs were fire hazards. Now they are all dead So while a modern bad ATX can be worse than an old good PSU, a good modern ATX will trump both, tolerances are tight

TashPad: Super Nintendo to Gravis GamePad ADB Converter

During the group buy, a lot of people were interested for a color closer to our old gear (white/beige/light gray), here is what it looks like Activity LED is orange-ish like the Mac II era HDD ones, whereas on the blue one LED collar is sea-ish blue

NUBUSPAS16-DB :: A daughterboard hack to restore some functionality of a standalone MediaVision PAS16

Sorry reloaded project is out of my skill level. That being said, as @Unknown_K mentioned the breakout box is the rare part. Pretty sure some members over here will be interested if you want to put them on sale

How to repair a Powerbook 140-180 interconnect cable

More like a tool and or skill issue  Managed to cut myself with the blade trick, and the ribbon was kinda hard. So used a flat screwdriver, except doing it side-to-side misaligned the ribbon a little bit Maybe using some metal ruler would do it just fine

How to repair a Powerbook 140-180 interconnect cable

Thanks for the guide! Finally did my bench powerbook. On the third try got it almost correct. Two lines on the keyboard matrix are shorting, but that's way better than no clock, half a display and instant crash if using the keyboard

TashRecorder: a Farallon MacRecorder compatible clone

@Mu0n Nice video. This is a nice contribution to this project. I liked the historical and Studio Session parts, as my first Mac already had 8 bit mono input and I was more messing with Player Pro. Didn't know that king of work was possible on a Plus

MacSE-RAM, a crazy Mac SE PDS RAM concept!

Indeed. but as @Melkhior that requires a working MMU so a 68030. Interested to see if you manage to find a way for this on a bone stock 68000…

Early Macintosh home brew 4MB memory upgrade board development

It isn't successful, as unfortunately it still doesn't work, but that's off-topic For the three different upgrades I have had my hands on, yes they all do use Mac Plus ROMs. The difference were on how they patched the ROM to make the SCSI contraption to work. They are not checking the RAM size...

    G5 quad showing leaking caps

heh, that's tough. For note, all of my three single 1.8 died last year or a couple of years before and theses caps were dead as well. They are from the Pentium 4 capacitor plague, so are likely to have more capacitor issues than earlier machines
