thanks for considering it @imactheknife, the adjustments at the back are all position and width/height. One on the side controls is brightness the other is contrast, turning brightness does nothing, wonder if it's the pot? but they don't break, do they? Actually turning the brightness dial makes...

Yes this is as good as the brightness/contrast can get, the back adjustments don't affect the washed out look

Hi all, I've had the 13" trinitron in to get looked at, there's a slight improvement but still some kind of offset, low contrast and softness. The TV guy said it needs a new line output transformer, but can't source one. Any other opinions on this? considered a re-cap perhaps? n.b. the pink...
