I have guides on my site on how to update to the full version, typically I use Basilisk II to do the update using Apple’s Legacy Software Recovery CD from the Internet Archive as the source of the update files. Because you have the PiSCSI, you may be able to put the Legacy CD image directly on...
This is Steve from SavageTaylor.com Did you update my image to the full version of 7.5.5? I have an actual Asanté device that I use and it needed the full version of the system installed to work properly. I have a guide for the Plus and 6.0.8 on my site. I hope to experiment with the piSCSI...
Well, as a long shot I just sent Alan Oppenheimer a message on LinkedIn, he presented at WWDC 1990 about Apple Talk Phase 2 and referenced the document you are looking for. He was part of the original Macintosh networking team.
I'll keep an eye out while I finish going through the Apple CDs I'm writing about on my site. I assume you've already looked at the different technical and knowledge base articles from the late 80s and early 90s about Phase 2. Eg...
Is there a copy on one of Apple's early 90s CD? https://www.savagetaylor.com/2024/02/18/apples-inside-macintosh-1984-to-1996/#spinside_mac_1989_to_1993
Is the Yamaha the external drive you have attached? I thought there was an issue that Apple computers would only boot from Apple branded CD-ROM drives? Have you tried @Phipli 's 7.6.1 image? https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/booting-a-mac-with-a-3rd-party-cd-rom-drive.46540/
So, played with this again a last night, I downloaded @jeremywork's image and copied the system folder to my IDE drive (CF Card) that I had partitioned using MultiFormater (I was hoping to make a mix of HFS, HFS+ and FAT16 volumes/partitions, found out that isn't a supported option for my IDE...
I made some changes to try and better describe what RAW is vs. the image files stored on a FAT32 or exFAT formatted SD card.
For CD-ROM image files, the MacSD documentation described in detail that it supports BIN/MODE1, redbook/audio and mixed-mode disc images. But I'm note sure for BlueSCSI...
I'm planning to update my downloads page and add some new guides to my website for the various SCSI to SD options that are now on the market.
As a first step, I'm creating a list of current options and doing a basic feature comparison.
Reading through the guides for BlueSCSI and ZuluSCSI, I...
I usually us Basilisk II to set up my drive images to use with BlueSCSI, ZuluSCSI etc. https://www.savagetaylor.com/2018/09/02/setting-up-your-vintage-classic-68k-macintosh-installing-the-full-version-of-system-7-5-5-or-6-0-8/
For the German versions, check Apple's Anthology DVD. You should...
I have an accelerator card for the SE that is missing the plastic guard that typically goes around the pins for the PDS connector.
Is there anywhere I can purchase these, or will I need to take it off something else? Picture is an example of what I'm looking for.
Technical Note HW540: SCSI Port Q&As: The Macintosh Quadra 900 is the first Macintosh computer to provide a separate, internal SCSI bus. This bus is physically isolated from the external SCSI bus and must also be properly terminated. The cable provided with the machine includes all the...
For the Quadra 700 issue, have you seen the TechNote?

Slowly making my way through all of @MrFahrenheit's uploads and writing descriptions of their contents. The CDs and manuals he's uploaded have been a great source of information.
I know this is an old post, but I was looking for a solution to this too and found IPTnnl: https://web.archive.org/web/19980122194308/http://www.cs.mu.oz.au/appletalk/doc/IPTnnl.userDoc.html
