APDA MPW C and C++ Compilers

It might be a fun project to port TCC to Macintosh one of these days. ;D

How the heck do I install Stuffit?

I made a Macintosh floppy disk with StuffIt Expander 3.5.1 on it, then "dd"ed the floppy onto my Linux box. Hopefully you should be able use this floppy disk image to put on a disk, and then you can use this StuffIt Expander to "bootstrap" your StuffIt Deluxe. I'm fairly certain there is an...

APDA MPW C and C++ Compilers

Thanks... time to start porting my C programs to Mac OS! IIRC, all the great compiler errors were gone by 3.5, but I guess I can live without them.

APDA MPW C and C++ Compilers

My MPW 3.3 (disk 3) claims that the C and C++ compilers for MPW are available as separate products through APDA. Does anyone have this archived?

    Mac Plus Video Flutter

Resoldered both the yoke plug, the flyback, and a few other things around. Flicked it back on and there's no flutter (yet... that's the best part about intermittent issues!)

    Mac Plus Video Flutter

Recently, the video on my Mac Plus started to get a bit shaky, I tried to capture that in this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_2yBmkOjlk Note the occasional scanline in the video is not what I'm talking about, the screen is occasionally compressing horizontally, and then it'll...

No sound on Classic II even after recapping

So this logic board has been through massive amounts of cleaning now... I doubt there's any cap goo anywhere left. I did notice that I must have accidentally lifted a solder pad on C5 when I recapped it. I traced the positive terminal of that capacitor to a spot on the rear of the logic board...

What Do You Do With Your Compact Mac?

Have you used the original Dali Clock? I believe Steve Capps at Apple wrote it. https://www.jwz.org/xdaliclock/ If you download the source code for xdaliclock, the original should be in the mac128 directory.

No sound on Classic II even after recapping

Poured quite a bit of rubbing alcohol on the board, aiming to get as much as I could underneath the DFAC. After letting that dry, was not able to change the result of the audio. Which pins on the connector to the analog board are for the speaker. If I could block those pins from connecting, I...

No sound on Classic II even after recapping

When I plugged in a pair of headphones, I was able to get the system sounds out of the sound port, although very faintly. Was this port designed for a pair of amplified speakers (as opposed to headphones)? If so, that could be why the sound was so quiet. Anyway, this was an improvement over...

No sound on Classic II even after recapping

Hello 68k MLA folks, I recently aquired a Classic II (actually a Performa 200...). When I first got it, no startup chime and vertical bars, the usual symptoms of leaky capacitors. Cleaning the logic board allowed it to start and System 7 works great on it, but there was no sound. I connected...
