    IIfx-ed Up Beyond All Recognition

Every chip or IC from the fx is valuable. Inductors too. And let’s not talk about the CPU, MMU or FPU… Bolle’s Reloaded board is the way to go

    LC 475 Project - Upgrades - Mods

Well, even a comparative idea would be enough, do you think that it could compare to the perceived increase from a 33 to 40 mhz 040 cpu? also, consider that I‘m more inclined to place it inside my 650 board inside a Quadra than a 475 - well maybe both in the end😂😂😂😂

    Flickering CRTs in peripheral vision

Increase refresh…. It’s the whole point of the 100hz plus crt screens. At 60hz it’s quite noticeable, but it’s much better at the Mac’s 75hz modes

    Apple Design Speakers

I had ordered the replacement foams but in the end it’s almost as expensive. And difficult to do. And these are full range speakers anyway, it’s not like theres a xover, so as long as the bass reflex load is similar….

    Apple Design Speakers

Some pics. And video! As said, the audio is great for how they‘re built. I was listening at 3/4 max volume, and the source was the tiny blue mp3 player next to the right speakers.

    Apple Design Speakers

I have a pair of the original speakers, and I went the easy way and just replaced the drivers. They sound great for what they are. The internal stereo amp is a dual 5w. the drivers that are comparable to the originals for sound quality and more or less the same size (some modding is needed) are...

Silicon Image SIL3112 Flashing: Easier Way Using flashrom

Have you tried to put a spinner drive in one of the ide slots? And leave the ssd in of course. i have this configuration: a 60gb ssd and a 120gb Seagate standard drive via ide that I use as repository. I don’t see this problem.

New acquisitions: MacPro 2010 and XServe 2009

Basically, there are no drivers for these cards. Apart from the built in support in the Mac OS, that is. Therefore, you will not find drivers for Leopard simply because the card was built after the OS, and there were NO machines after the cMP that had generic GPU support in a standard PCIe slot...

New acquisitions: MacPro 2010 and XServe 2009

Sorry, no way to run a 580 in snow leopard or Lion, or anything like that. I think the minimum for it is Sierra, I took a lot of time to study which GPU would work with what OS, there's a huuuuuge thread on Mac Rumors for this. Is it OK to post a link here? Mods, advise - in case, remove. GPU...
