I've got a G4 800 DP (Quicksilver) myself (one of these -> http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_server_g4/specs/macserver_g4_800_dp_qs.html),but it caps out at 1.5GB ram unlike OP's model and some of the other power mac G4s.
I'm using a 128 GB IDE hard drive and what I think is PC133...
Irony. I've got a 6100/66 with a dos card ( this one I think -> http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac/specs/powermac_6100_66.html),but the poor thing no longer has a working hard drive. Dratted SCSI drives, but then the computer is also 20 years old.
Just swapped my LC II's mainboard with an LCIII one. Now I just have to replace the OS on the drive and hope that drive keeps ticking (it's the LPS model, which I hear is less failure prone than the ELS, but it is 20+ years old). Apparently, the LC III won't even boot 7.0.1 :( Wish I'd kept...
Totally necro'ing this for amusement..
There's a dvd decoder card that goes in the PCMCIA slot for the powerbook g3 isn't there (like this --> http://store.mcetech.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=DVDMPG2&Category_Code=_pbg398&Product_Count=1)? Not that adding...
I had this blank screen issue happen to me a couple days ago, with my LC II. I thought maybe it was the fault of the cable I was trying to use with my scsi zip drive (a DB25 M/M cable, somewhat thicker than a normal parallel cable but unlabeled), because it happened after that. I tried booting...
Interesting. I have a 6100/66 with the DOS card. Of course that darn computer also has a dead hard drive. :( I didn't know it was a PDS card of any kind though. I should have guessed. After all, a PDS slot would be ideal for any kind of processor upgrade/alternate processor that needs or wants...

This message thread elsewhere seems to suggest that there's a possibility of needed 24-bit addressing on? Does that make any sense?
Also (http://www.vectronicsappleworld.com/appleii/appleiiecard.html),
Maybe you...
I have an Apple Extended Keyboard which I picked up from a junk heap a little while ago. It's yellowed and probably a tad gunky inside. I found what seems like a good description how to clean it here, http://lowendmac.com/thomas/06/1013.html, but I am wondering what I could/should use to...
I've got a 6100 (regrettably, out of order) that I've used before with an older Dell 15" monitor (I can go find the model # if anyone cares). I think it was one of the resolution s mentioned below, 832x624 or 1152x870 that worked at maybe 70/75hz. One of those somewhat generic adapters with the...
Congrats. I've got the rev. b of the original bondi imac only mine is scratched, dinged, and has minor breakage inside :'( , and also no longer has it's stock cpu. 333mhz sounded better.
P.S.
Nevermind that's it's like a third-hand computers (at least two previous owners).
@maceffects Are you the same person who goes by that on eBay? If so, nice stack of very tempting g3 upgrades for the 6100. Good luck with the dos card, I've got one but I couldn't get it to "work" even when I had the computer working. Too little knowledge of dos and macs I guess. Nice on the ram...
Eh, 24bit, how's your iMac doing. Mine's a little beat up (got it from some family friends a couple years ago), there's a screw or two gone and some minor cracking I think (naturally, all my fault). That and the speakers seem to crackle a bit, any insight on the speakers? I've got 2 other...
Yeah, I actually have both types of external Zip100 drive (parallel/scsi). At least one of the two parallel ones I know works for sure, I've tried it on windows xp, I even managed to find the drivers from iomega for it (which was good). The little diamond with a horizontal dash projecting out of...
So, the hard drive is dead (or it appears that way), which is a pity really. I did however acquire, fairly recently and by sheer accident, a scsi zip 100 drive from a junk pile at school. I don't have a scsi cable though, So, does anyone know what, if any, fundamental difference there is in the...
Well, that's a pity! :( I expect school to get in the way of me doing anything (will certainly try though, if I don't forget), I somehow have very little time, personally. Too lazy, and behind. Glad to be off of school for Christmas though. Best of luck to anyone else who is participating...
