It looks like what I posted ... somewhere, definitely on vintage-computer ... about the Atari ST pinout was correct; this is the bus mouse pinout for the MS mouse from here and the Atari pinout from here or here [which reverses the Xa and Xb seen below]:
MS --------------- Atari

Wait a sec... where's the page/thread that was curated/updated by a gentleman from the Netherlands? I cannot find it now (last looked probably a few months ago). I don't believe that was Google Code, but when did Einstein migrate off?
I used to get my builds from there; though maybe they were...
Yeah I was just about to correct myself when I realized I was making an arbitrary distinction in my head. And yeah I have the InPort card also; meaning that the equivalent controller is on board the ST (etc.) and at least in theory the mouse shouldn't matter?
I don't need the MS InPort mouse...
Archer, I'll probably cut something up; but Mouser no doubt sells the connectors; I just bought one for VGA.
And yeah for sure, Gorgonops and avadondragon - I just happen to have a bunch of spare ADB mice. I also have an MS (2-button) bus mouse. But three-button bus mice might be a little...

I just got a reasonably cheap Atari 1040STF without any accessories. I jury rigged a VGA cable that I'll solder into a real 13-pin DIN connector when it arrives, but I still have no mouse. The potentially easiest way of circumventing...
See avadondragon that was my thought - thanks very much. Some FreeBSD documentation I found suggested that OS (and maybe NetBSD) may actually be able to run the card OOB (or there may be drivers, not sure). But truthfully I haven't had a lot of time to try this all out. I will play with these...
You guys are probably going to skewer me for this... I bought an unclear SCSI card on the gamble I might be able to use it in a PC. It doesn't have clear identification marks but the chip is a Symbios 53C875 and there's a 4-K label on the outside-facing part of the card (by the port). Windows...
Well so this is what you mean? https://68kmla.org/forums/index.php?/topic/23721-help-with-macintosh-se30-horizontal-line/ Is it possible the difference in width is a camera issue/parallax or something?
Here's the manual's entire debugging process: "Single horizontal line is displayed 1 Replace...
I was just basically following the manual. Yes mem card in 0. I thought the manual said that was fine (maybe not), but I was a little lost as to how the PR#0 command wouldn't just activate the mem card. But I also may have tried it without. It's an 'EZRAM 2' card. Are those common?
Oh...
sorry... i didn't mean exclusively vga... showing my (not very advanced) age a bit.
[Yeah obv. that's the screen size (even though it's also the aspect ratio) because it's just a CRT (/TV) monitor; so that's the slot size. A little hard to find 9", no?]
Ipad screen: Is it going to cost...
I have a spare SE/30 case I was going to sell cheap or part out, but I think I'd rather do a casemod project for my old machine that I at this point only use to write 5 1/4" floppies.
Can anyone recommend a 9" 4:3 lcd screen/inverter - cheap? [is that the aspect ratio...?]
In the alternative...
What I mean here is not necessarily getting in "above" the board under the chassis-top, but do people adapt power cables or something... how do you actually get power to the board outside the case?
Thank you. I had tried that before and that was actually my reason for asking. When I type "PR#1", the prompt ROM/ProDOS (tried both) prompt disappears leaving onlyl "PR#1" is displayed. When I then type "PR#0" there's no change. I had resocketed the chip.
I do note that on that...
There are two SE/30 ROM versions (that I've seen); neither will say "SE/30." The one you posted is 820-0241-02 / 630-4339; the other is 341-0655A [i'm not clear on the consistency of those serials...]. You can also put other more exotic ROMs in there. I would be surprised if they'd boot...
