Yeah it's unfortunate but the screens are unique to that model, I think I found one thinkpad model that shared the screen which makes sense given that IBM designed the 2400c, but that thinkpad is even more rare than the 2400c and mostly suffers from the same problems if you can even find one.
I haven't had time on this one to follow up. Life just has gotten in the way. I did buy some film, and I started removing a bad film from a dead LCD as a practice. I found it to be very time consuming and a sucky job overall, That's as far as I've gotten, I keep hoping someone who has done it...
I've been searching for the powerlogix pismo bluechip upgrade for years, if I ever find one I"m going to reverse engineer the adapter it would open up so many possibilities for us.

That's awesome, if there was an adapter to stab a 750gx onto a G4 board it would be awesome to push the boundaries. I'd love to have a high speed G3 that supported AGP. I assume you also get the faster bus benefits from doing this swap as well?
If someone wanted to make me one of these I'd be happy to pay for and test the fitment. Just no time to deal with making one, but have plenty of test machines.
That's a bummer but how it goes sometimes. Was hoping that would work for you.
They aren't fragile, just there are a lot of untested ones out there and it's hit or miss on those in my experience. I've had quite a few and I'm at the point where unless it's dirt cheap and I can just write it off...
These cards are real finicky a lot of bad ones out there. I've had some success scrubbing the pins with an eraser where they go into the processor slot. You may just have a bum card though, I've had quite a few esp the lower end interware cards. Other brands are a lot more likely to not be a...
Hmmm I was pretty sure they both did, but perhaps someone more sure of themselves can answer. :) I think you can run sonnets updater or any other company without issue, no real reason not to as far as I know. They all did the same thing and that is just to get rid of the G4 check.
I've got an older one of these, but dang they have gone up in price, I think I paid $30 for mine. But with these it's a piece of cake to flash the chips and then drop them on the board. In fact I just went ahead and flashed my whole tube of roms last time I had it out and so I can just drop them...
That's a fun site, he also wrote an article about the development of the ultra rare 400mhz G3 card for the 2400. https://macmem-com.translate.goog/wp/2019/08/04/9225/?_x_tr_sl=ja&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp
Also I fixed your link so that it is already translated. ;)
