Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
So the main issue here is that these are not manufactured any more, or so it seems. I sent an email off to Acard with what my goal is, a 50 pin to IDE bridge/adapter. We'll see what they say but as you pointed out, these adapters today are incredibly expensive.
Hello
As everyone knows SCSI hard drives are becoming scarce and there are SCSI to memory cards but how about SCSI to IDE. I think this would be a pretty good solution.
Has anyone installed one of these on their vintage scsi only macs? The first one I found on using google shows that these are...
@Franklinstein This is a huge personal reward for me. This forum has always been so helpful to me, I am glad I could return the gesture. Thanks for reporting back. Once I found the photo of the diskette it was a eureka moment for me because it confirmed that the Nakamich devices amongst many...
Here is D2 CD Installer v4.0.7.
This software supports the following drives: Nakamichi MBR-7, MJ-4.8s, MJ-5.16s, amongst many others. See the Read Me, which accompies the installer.

Can someone with any of the devices mentioned in this thread test the software that was graciously linked by slomacuser. This is going to find its way on the internet archive asap.
I forget where I got this image from, whereever it did come from I downloaded the site but the point here is that the software was developed for Nakamichi by a company called Software Architects.
This is their site I think. There are a few companies with a similar name so it is hard to say with...
Sadly true. They must be around somewhere. I did download that site anyway, it's on the FTP server I gave you access to. The are in "Downloads/ Maybe Nakamichi?/page.sannet.ne.jp_IA". Feel free to download it.
I may have found it, the word driver is therem http://www.page.sannet.ne.jp/mitsuya/nakamici/nakamici.html. Scraping the site even though it doesn't look promising.

2 zip files.
If you need anything else leave a detailed description and I'll see what I can do.
Those are all on my HD as I write this.
I will make them available in a little bit, I will probably just use google drive to make it easier, not in front of the main mac right now.
Not sure if this page is helpful but if you install a google translator into your browser it will translate inline. It's titled, Compatibility with G3MT series and video card Picpom but it has software screenshots and if translated it could provide you some context. Sorry if it's not helpful.
It turns out that the Japanese in the following quote means "Interware" --> インタウェア ・PicPom
So I did a google image search just to be sure and it looks promising. I should be able to now do another search on the waybackmachine using "インタウェア" or some variation of "インタウェア ・PicPom" to dig...
It should be noted that at this time, google is translating "interware" to "interface" as can be noted here on http://www.macde.net/macos/9911-9912.html
● interface hardware is Power Mac G4 ( AGP) dedicated PicPomFMTV enhancements Ver 1.0. 1b (beta version) distribution (99.12.24)
● インタウェアが...
