So I installed a 575 in my color classic and installed a PPC accelerator. I also put 128MB of ram which is seen correctly in 040 mode, but then when I turn on the PPC accelerator, it goes down to 32MB. Is there a reason for this?

Well, the problem turned out to be the previous owner reversed a diode that was supplying that 90V. Thanks to Techknight for leading me to it!

I find a lot of faults on the IIFX are because of the ram/rom simm sockets. Put the bare min ram in (4 ram sticks) and the rom stick in, then push on them toward the contacts and see if you get anything. Also it might be good to invest in a rominator ii as it speeds up boot time. I've had bad...

Doing a special promotion, if you buy a 128MB set, I'll throw in 4 new sockets for the ram (until supplies last).

The caps will def need to be changed on both the power supply and the computer itself. That could be the problem in itself.
