    Newton Power Plug dimensions.

I can confirm that the Newton 9W Power Adapter H0165 (ADP-9AB) happily powers a Newton OMP.

    eMate connection to Performa 5215CD

How are you going to get a HP PC to read data from the flash card?

    Newton Power Plug dimensions.

Just checked an OMP, a 120 and a 2100 and to the eye they are all the same size (barrel and pin). I'm trying to get my hands on some vernier calipers to verify this... Do you have any Newtons yourself? I'm very interested your voltage regulator should you get it working...

    Newton Power Plug dimensions.

If you can wait until I get home next week I can check and measure all three (2100, 2000 and eMate) for you.

    eMate connection to Performa 5215CD

G'day. You should be able to connect your eMate to your Performa with software you can find here. In particular have a look here. Have a dig around the site for lots of other cool stuff as well. Good luck!

Newton OS 2 Programming. Can I do it?

I haven't tried programming for the Newton but I have written software for plenty of other things. I say give it a go! Find some sample code and start from there. What's the worst that can happen?

    Amiga 600 - $2

Good work and good luck! Nothing like a spot of digital archeology.

    iMac G4

Nice work - I've always wanted one of these! I was at Uni when they came out - there were a few in the shared computing lab. I had to walk to the other end of campus but it was worth it!

    Asante NuBus AAUI-only card

I have at least one of these in my shed of random bits (pretty sure it is an Asante, definitely only has AAUI). I guess the theory could have been you only needed to buy a new transceiver for your card if you upgraded your network (from 10Base2 to 10BaseT for instance).

    68k Programming Guide

Very nice. On a PPC using CodeWarrior (can't remember the exact version) you can definitely build 68k apps (and a few other platforms including Palm IIRC).

Removing personal data on a Newton 2100

There should be a reset button on the back. Check out this page http://www.pda-soft.de/2x00_disassemble.html to ensure it clears everything you want it to...

    WiFi for compacts??

RS-232 to wireless ethernet would be cool. I have a suspicion that the chip controlling it would be more powerful than the Mac using it though :) Using one with a PowerBook 100 would be awesome...

    PowerMacs and 68k PowerBooks

No worries - should be able to sort out a shell for you. The only bit I "may" have problems with is the plastic hinge cover. Anyway - gotta sort out the PB100 stash for Byrd before I move onto the 500 series :)

    PowerMacs and 68k PowerBooks

Picked up a stash of Mac gear yesterday, here is a rundown: - PowerMac 8600, looks complete, "purple" G3 233MHz upgrade as well as the original CPU card, unsure of RAM/HDD etc; - Power Computing (clone), unsure of model, G3 400MHz upgrade as well as the original CPU card, unsure of RAM/HDD...

    iBook G4

Nice work - hope it goes well! I have a few iBook G3 500MHz's to repair at some point - I don't know why I like the icebooks - I just do :)

    2 x Dark blue iMac DV 500s

Unfortunately macgreg was taken on MacTalk :( The iMacs are very tough too - my 4 year old son inserted three CD-ROMS into a slot load drive at once - I extracted them all and the drive was still functional. The CD-ROMs were a little scratched though...
