I thought about that but it looks like the base of the pin (under the black plastic) is wider than the upper section. So you would either have to replace the entire socket or cut up the plastic base and replace one pin?
I accidently bent a pin removing my sonnet allegro 33mhz card for my se/30. I tried to bend it back and it broke off...am I screwed? What can I do? Pin #1 is broken.
Thanks :-/
Can you try without encryption? I remember having trouble figuring out how to enter the key, either it was a typo or I had to type 0x first or something.
I figured it out, and got the system together. I had to pull out pins 6 & 7 on the DVI connector. These are DDC clock & DDC data. Now I can choose normal lower resolutions from the preference panel. I still need to figure out a better way to turn the system on...I have to use a pen...
Thanks, I tried this program but it won't activate the correct resolution. Something with the apple branded vga-dvi cable messes with the edid information I think. If I use a generic vga->dvi, it works fine. The only problem is I cannot package the system in the se/30 case properly without...
Hey all, I ended up getting a Mac Mini, but all of your suggestions were still great :)
I am having trouble syncing the proper refresh rate with my Apple DVI->VGA. For some reason it does not display the option of 800x600x60hz (or 640x480x60hz) The lowest is 85hz up to 120hz!!! This is...
Had some extra time this weekend to get going on a project I have been meaning to do. Awhile ago I bought a 9" IBM monochrome VGA monitor with hopes of putting it in my old SE/30 case. (the original had a massive battery explosion) Today I was able to mount the screen and electronics and test...
Thanks guys, I was able to get some of the CD's to work by re-burning them, but the drive is kind of picky. I am going to try and substitute a generic 24x Teac drive in the system to hopefully fix the drive's fussiness.
Hello, I have a powerbook 1400c w/ OS 9 and the 12x CDROM module. It refuses to read any of my CDR's, but will read a normal CD just fine. Is there a way I can get a CDR to work?
Thanks!
I would re-solder all of the harness connections on the analog board. I had a 128k & a 512k with the same symptom. I did this and I had 2 working systems. :beige:
