    Am I screwed?

Well, I got it fixed. I used a standard 68030 socket and a small bit of solder. First, I filled the pin hole in question on the new socket with solder, with some extra "bubbled" on the top. Then I placed the accelerator in the new socket as far as it would go, the damaged pin now touched the...

I put the hard drive in an external closure and connected it to my color classic, and the color classic displays the floppy ? at boot up and won't even boot off its own drive, or bombs if I try to turn on the drive after the CC boots off its own HD. I'd like to...

    Am I screwed?

Thanks guys, I was moving it back and forth to try and trouble shoot why it wasn't booting with my xceed color 30 card. I am not sure the 2 are compatible. I am going to try and repair the pin and then maybe also plug into a new socket as well.

    Am I screwed?

Cool thanks, but if I don't replace them all won't the new pins stick out farther than the originals? Then will it sit right in the socket?
