Thanks for the mounting screws suggestion, and of course it dual boots 9.2.1 and 10.4.11. Both are on the same drive, you have to hold the option key during startup to boot OS9. 10.4.11 actually boots a lot faster than 9.2.1, but once 9.2.1 is booted it is faster.
I figured this out, pin outs are completely different. Top row is all ground and bottom rightmost is 12V and remaining 3 bottom pins are 5V. Everything works now with a PC ATX supply I'll post pics later.
Hello, I just bought the Sonnet Encore 1ghz ZIF processor upgrade for my Beige G3. When I got it I realized I was missing the power cable adapter which will run a power connector directly to the CPU, which is not normally present. I asked the seller and they do not have it(see attached)
The 8...
Hi, I recently picked up this Sonnet upgrade for my Beige G3.
Mine did not come with the power cable adapter shown above, are these a standard cable I can buy somewhere?
Thanks!
I ran it at 190 for 4 hours today, screen is further improved. After running laptop for hour + the tunnel vision is minor. I think this is the best it's going to get. The screen looses some "sharpness" after running for the hour also.
So I finally got around to baking my PB180 display.
I cooked it for 30min at 190 and 90min at 180. 190 seemed a little hot to me, but actually it was fine.
The screen had no damage after the baking. The tunnel vision effect is reduced, but not eliminated. It is slowly coming back the longer...
I still have a 10" SVGA CRT (9" viewable) if you are interested, see link. I believe it is an inch or 2 too long to fit in a compact mac case however. (without cuting out the rear)

I would like to add. I have a powerbook 180, my screen had the same issue. I bought a screen from another member on this forum that was tested in his powerbook 180 for hours and the issue did not occur. I got the screen, didn't have a chance to install for 6 months. When I did swap the...
That's a connector, not a soldered joint, so it is designed to be unplugged. So push it back down and you're fine.
UNLESS you broke the neck glass at the tip. I did this once...I heard a hissing sound as air entered the tube, and it left a mark on the front phosphor. I ended up replacing the...
I was looking at a IIx on craigslist, and I couldn't figure out what the Nubus card in the front is. See attached picture. I know the one in the back is the toby card, and the middle is a radius full page display card, but whats that first one?
Thanks!
