Simple, but did you check the battery cover switch is working? The symptoms you describe could also be due to the portable running off the 9V battery when unplugged instead of the main battery.

I’m also on the waitlist. Is the STL file available by itself so it can be a build-your-own option?

So I was able to get Crystal Quest to work by grabbing the latest version downloaded from Macintosh Repository. Turns out SimFarm requires a 68020, oh well.

Hey all, I've got a recapped Powerbook 100. It works well but some games give an "Unimplemented Trap" type error. Specifically so far these 2 games don't work: Sim Farm Crystal Quest I also tried on my backlit Portable and I get the same errors. So I assume it is not a hardware issue...

I have already solved this- the via connecting (-) C9 and R91 on the back side of the board was broken. Bodged this connection and all good!

Hi, I just recapped a Mac Portable M5120 logic board. It has no sound to the internal speaker, the external jack works however. I found C9 (+) was not connect to pin 11 of the Sound Left Chip. C10 (+) was connected OK to Sound Right. I also found that the speaker (+) does connect to 2 leads...

Interesting, although after using this method to “turn on” power cache, power demo reports the external cache is enabled:

4+ years and I’ve got your first reply! I was able to get an early P30 IIci Powercache working with Bolle’s adapter on an SE/30 using this hidden option. Without it, the computer instantly locks up when enabling the cache. Maybe it’s some sort of compatibility mode?

Thanks, I was able to get everything to work by formatting the SD cards exFAT with MBR partition table. Then using a blank image file from Blue SCSI. All good now, just thought if I initialized on the Macintosh it would auto create the image files but it doesn’t work that way.

This was an official upgrade option.  It even says on the board it’s an Apple part.  Based on your serial number of #619, likely not a lot were manufactured.
