I found a Quicksilver G4 in a computer recycling bin today. Sticker says it's an 867 MHz, and it has no RAM or HD. I found it in pieces, but it has the logic board, PSU, optical, and zip drives. I'm not going to be home until about 6:30 or so, so I'll try it out then. Woo! :)

Sorry, I thought I posted a reply. It's whatever's stock (Rage 128). I haven't upgraded it. Actually, that sounds like a fun project. Anyone know if Leopard just refuses to run on a G3, or if it's just another variable in the "badMachines" string? If it's just a string, then might be able...

It's pretty enjoyable. It's just about as fast as Tiger was, with the exception of the dock. When it's in the 3D reflective mode, it's slow as heck. With the 2D dock and no magnification, the Cube runs a lot like Tiger does.

When I had my Lombard (G3 333) up and running, it ran Tiger. I can definitely say that it was MUCH more smooth than Panther or Jaguar.

Oooo, I love the low-profile optiplexen. We've got GX150s at our school, in both low and normal tower size thingys.

My 1.25 GHz 15" AlBook runs very smoothly on Leopard. I've only got 512MB RAM, but still, it's no slower than Tiger was (and Tiger was pretty fast, too.) I'm getting at least 1GB more soon (upcoming birthday). We'll see how much more enjoyable it is. :)

It's Netscape Communicator 4.0.8. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. Nice desktop pic, too. :) A LOT of problems with OS installations. I couldn't find my 7.6 CD, downloaded 7.6 images didn't work, etc. I found my 7.6 CD Friday, though.

Umm...those are called "photochromic" lenses. Polarized lenses are those which reflect glare. I had the photochromic ones a while ago, and they were just a nuisance. They took too long to get back to normal, and even then, they'd still be dark-looking.

My sister's iPod's LCD cracked, so she bought a used one on eBay. It arrived today, and I swapped the hard drives. Hers is now syncing, and she gave me her old one. Until I get a new LCD (which could take a while :p ), I'll just use it as a portable HD. So, this is my 4th current iPod...

Niiiice. I almost had a Portrait display, but I plugged it into the wall where I found it, and nothing happened when I hit the power button. (The outlet was working) I used a Portrait display when I was in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. From what I remember, they rock. :)

I can tell you that HP toner cartridges do work in LaserWriters. My 320 has a HP cartridge, and it's working perfectly. Make sure the cartridge in the printer is the right HP equivalent to the LaserWriter you have.
