    iPod nano

I ordered an iPod nano last week, after I lost my 8gb touch :( It's an 8gb black model. It'll hold me out until next month, when/if I get a music phone. I'm kicking myself for not engraving the old iPod, as someone might be less likely to sell it if it had something like this on it...

    Recent Newegg loot

Well I thought about that too, but I was just really really happy to finally get it all. I thought it'd get here Friday, but it took the (long) weekend to arrive here. I prefer WD and Seagate over anything else. I've never had a Seagate drive die on me

    Recent Newegg loot

A box from Newegg came today. In it was: 2 SATA cables Transcend 2.5" SATA HD case (N82E16817349007) Seagate 1.5 TB (yes, terabyte) SATA HD (N82E16822148337) D-Link 5-port gigabit ethernet switch (N82E16833127083) I'm slowly starting to move away from the life of 10/100 and IDE stuff, as...

3 things for $10 a piece. Which one should I grab?

I love my II, but unfortunately, the monitor I have a card for died (it was one of those "The Big Picture" things). And I'm sure the battery's dead by now. It's a really nice machine though. The hard drive is quite a sight to see :)

    IBM ThinkCentre M50

Pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/ipnixon/Thinkcentre So far, I've ordered it a gigabit ethernet card. I also got a 1.5TB HD for my Optiplex, and once I get that, the Thinkcentre will have the 200GB drive that's currently in the Optiplex Yay :)

    IBM ThinkCentre M50

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220343401339 I couldn't pass the thing up for $40. Better yet, it's supposed to get here tomorrow :D I still dunno what I'm gonna do with it, but I'll prolly throw some sort of Windows server on it.

    ThinkPad R61i

Well, eventually came today. I bought a 250GB HD for it at Best Buy. I'm waiting for Lenovo to send me a new CD drive; this one is having trouble spinning up for some reason. I also extended its warranty yesterday by 2 years, so that's nice to have. :)

    ThinkPad R61i

Yeah, it finally showed up the following Monday. :)

    ThinkPad R61i

I got this from John8520 on Monday. It's a 1.5GHz Core2Duo, 3GB RAM, 80GB HD, CD-RW. I'll eventually get a bigger HD for it, but for now, it works fine. Getting this around this time seems like a nice Christmas gift, even though it came a little early. Wheeee :)

    Something I never guessed

I'd personally wipe it and reinstall a fresh copy of Vista or XP, then get drivers manually. I generally don't bother with preloaded stuff like that. And if it came with restore discs, you can always go back and reinstall it using those discs.

3 G3 Blue and whites and an iMac G3

    Nice; free?

    2x Blue and White

Bah. I bet I still have more plusses than you do. ;)

    2x Blue and White

Nice, I've had 3. I've got 1 running as a print server right now. They're really nice machines. What's it got in it?

    Power Mac 6500 CPU fan

    Oil worked. Thanks Mike :)

    Power Mac 6500 CPU fan

Well, the machine already has USB and ethernet PCI cards in it, so I dunno if I want to replace it with a heatsink. The comm-slot has a modem in it, and I don't have any CS ethernet cards, so at least the ethernet PCI card is staying in. I didn't think of that; I'll try it after I stop at the...

    Power Mac 6500 CPU fan

I just acquired a 6500/300 from my school, and it looks like it works okay, except for the fact that its CPU fan makes a loud grinding noise when it's on. I was just curious as to whether or not it's safe to leave this running without the fan plugged in. The fan's mounted on a heatsink anyway...

    A (now useable) ThinkPad 600e

I got a ThinkPad 600e back in July, and I think its CD drive was broken, because no matter what version of Windows I tried (2000, 98, XP), setup wouldn't get past the same file every time I tried each version. This also happened with different copies of the discs, too, so it wasn't a disc...

    Personal LaserWriter 320

I ordered cartridges for mine last week; 4 non-brandnamed remanufactured cartridges for $35, free shipping. :)

    Personal LaserWriter 320

I have my 7300/200 set up to share my 320 out to the rest of my network using Apple's LocalTalk Bridge control panel. All of my OS X machines see it, as well as my Windows machines, and they all print to it with no problem. I can get all the stuff together you'll need to have the 7500 host it...
