Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
I've been shocked by 110v before, when I was 9. I was playing with Christmas lights and my finger slipped in between a gap in the outlet and the plug, and I got shocked. Felt weird, but I didn't die.
I picked up both of these today! The G3 is yellowed, and the CD-RW bezel is not, so it looks funny. I have not tried out the G3. but the 520 is so cool! It has, of course, the 36mb of RAM, and tons of Graphic programs like Photoshop, and QuarkXPress. More tomorrow, I have to go to sleep XP
Whatever comes installed when I get it. If there is nothing on it I leave nothing on it until I need it, then I install it from the CD of the thing that needs it.
Honestly everything has been replaced on it. Case plastics, PSU, Screen, Battery charging logic. And the C2D LoBos go for as much as a 1.83 CD, I might even get a C2D too.
No, it wouldn't be smart just to save for a new MB because The LoBo is about 300 dollars, and a new MB is $800 more. If I had a job, and a need for a C2D and iLife '08 then I'd get it, however I'd rather just keep this, and save my pennies for a LoBo
I'm not upgrading instantly either. I want to upgrade my RAM to 1 Gig first, and then get it. But, All my christmas money, and any other money I get from here on out is going toward a new LoBo for "my" macbook.
Macster: While I woud want the extra CD Bezel I'll probably never get one for free/cheap. I'm excited about the 520 because this is my first 68040 PowerBook. yeah, the RAM was a deal breaker, so I bit! I hope the batterys are good and maybe, just maybe it'll have a card cage :D
