Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
there was a whole argument on one of the Mac Facebook groups about this a couple of months ago. Some guy had a dead Quantum drive, popped it open, there was a plastic piece that was locking the head, if you wiggle it the drive works for a couple of days, and then stops again, and he was asking...
I was able to successfully reset my password with it. You may have luck emailing info[at]macintoshrepository.org since thats where the password reset email comes from, not sure if anyone actually checks that mailbox or not
I can't give away my secrets! :p
It was Clearing House Estate sales.
https://www.auctionninja.com/clearinghouseestatesales/
But the actual pickup was Silver City Auction House in Meriden, not sure if they're owned by Clearing House, or partnered with them, or what.
Facebook knows me...
Do I need another G4? Nope
Do I have room for another G4? Nah
Do I have a use for it? Not really
But I got another Powermac G4 today.
A local auction house was having an online vintage electronics auction, not much that I was interested in(mostly audio stuff/some tubes), but I spotted...
What are some Mac games that are MT32 compatible? I currently have my Roland synth hooked up to my Pentium PC for DOS games, but I do have an Apple serial to MIDI interface too
The SCSI2SD V4 uses a 7406 which are <$1 each, maybe that's a possible alternative? Looking at the datasheet it appears to be able to sink 48ma

Was good to meet you to! Hopefully whenever is safe to do so we can do some kind of actual meetup.
Not sure what to do with it yet. I think I'm up to 4 iMac G3s now, I might try to recreate this keynote demo (on a much smaller scale) with my G4 tower acting as a server
Couple of conquests this week,
Yesterday from LaPorta I picked up a couple of Multiscan 15 displays, one in pretty nice shape, one has some issues with the plastics, and a couple of auto inject 1.4mb drives
A few days ago from a friend who ran a computer repair shop for about...
Yeah, the SE/30s were all 1.44
The SE's were typically 800k, unless it was a SE FDHD(Floppy Disk High Density) or SE Superdrive(Or a regular SE that had it's ROMS/Drive controlller/drive upgraded)
Hey JDW,
(I'm Tom Barber from the facebook group btw)
I have one of the miniscribe drives too, not from a 20SC and can record some audio and will upload it to youtube and DM it to you. Let me know if you also want any pics of it (not in the enclosure)
Not strictly Mac related, or even computer related necessarily, but I got a Roland D5 synth for a pretty good price. As far as I know, it’s pretty similar to the mt32 which was a popular synth for dos games, so I got it hooked up to my dos PC and got a couple of old Sierra games to play over it...
@maceffects Are the Rev A cases still available at all? JDW mentioned it in the video, but I don't see them on the site so I'm assuming they're all sold out?
It almost looks like that AEK does have a clear cover over it.(like, the area between the F12 and F13 key)
Or just a nice thick layer of grase/warped plastic from over the years
(no to say having a backup plan is a bad idea or anything)
