G3 AIO analog board/psu cap list

Thank you so much @bsteckler ! Did you do the recapping as preventative maintenance, or was it starting to have issues with leaking caps?

May be a dead end, but help remembering the name of a simple music making program from the early 2000s?

Thank you for uploading that video which 100% confirmed that this was it!

May be a dead end, but help remembering the name of a simple music making program from the early 2000s?

almost 2 years later, "Rock, Rap'n Roll" is what I was thinking of! By chance I came across it at a video game expo while looking through a table of big box PC & Mac games! As soon as I saw the box, I was like "wait a minute..." and looked at the screenshots on the back and was 95% sure it was...

Continuing saga trying to aquire working SE/30

True! The other advantage of the aftermarket ROMs is (at least some of them) disable the full RAM check upon first boot. So if you max out the SE/30 with RAM, could definitely decrease boot time(but yeah, that's also a bit of a niche usecase)

Introducing (and interest check) AirTalk: Wireless plug-and-play LocalTalk dongles

Spent some time playing with my Airtalk today. When I first connected them, I connected them to my eero network(mesh wifi system, but both the airtalks were connected to the same AP), and noticed it was really slow. Don't have a speed or anything, but had 1 connected to my localtalk imagewriter...

Mac Plus analog board - horizontal flickering lines

Oops, for the line that says "tap around the logic board", that should say "Tap around the analog board" (If only we could edit posts)

Mac Plus analog board - horizontal flickering lines

video - Analog board has been recapped, no cracked solder joints or anything that I can see. I reflowed the joints for the flyback, and all of the connectors that go between the logic board/CRT. Happens with multiple logic boards If I have it on, and tap around the logic board with the...

G3 AIO analog board/psu cap list

Hey all, I picked up a G3 AIO Molar Mac a few weeks ago, has some flyback issues so I'll be replacing the flyback with a new one, but figure while I have it open I would like to recap it too so I don't have to open it again in the forseeable future. Does anyone have a cap list handy for the...

    BlueSCSI SD card prep

The image needs to be a HDA file placed directly on the SD card. It looks like you somehow extracted the image or something?

Repair lifted pads on classic 2

I just kind of assumed it connected somewhere to that chip, since it didn't appear to exit from under the chip anywhere. On my board luckily I still had the pad attached, it was just lifted from the board, so I was able to use one probe on my meter on the pad and 1 probe to figure out which pin...

Repair lifted pads on classic 2

Just checked, yeah C15 gets to that pin, so if theres continuity you should be good

Repair lifted pads on classic 2

I can double check tonight, but I'm like 99% sure that pad goes to this pin (I'm recapping a Classic 2 and that pad happened to get lifted on this one as well)

    BlueSCSI troubleshooting

The termination will not be working right since one of the resistor nets(used for termination) is too small, and is likely at least part of your issue. Also, like claanu said, the bluepill itself is supposed to have 2 jumpers on the bluepill itself, Otherwise it's not going to be actually...

Introducing (and interest check) AirTalk: Wireless plug-and-play LocalTalk dongles

I'd be interested in 2 or 3 of these as well. Been playing with some localtalk stuff but my desire to run phonenet cables around the house is minimal.

iBook G3 Clamshell - no power. the LED around the power plug flashes green for a second and then turns off

I recently picked up a couple of clamshells, one working and one that was sold as for parts. On the parts unit, the LED around the power plug flashes green for a second and then turns off. Any idea of things to check? Power adapter is a yoyo adapter and is known to be good. If it's an...
