Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
whats odder is that hotmail has a wee 'pop' button to check your pop accounts. when i do this it tells me it has downloaded so many emails from here, but does not actually display them in the list.
they really do disappear.
excepting my recent dalliance with cyperduck - fetch was all i have used in mac. and as you say - nice and simple and idiot proof.
i like that combination!
;-)
cuteftp was my windows choice.
i only manage to get my 2000 online for a short period of time before i wanted to stab myself in the eye as the experience was sooo painful. whats the 2100 like speed wise and how are the pages rendering?
pics by any chance?
it worked well enough. it was weird though. just a slight delay over the net, but enough to make you want to keep talking as you thought they expected it.
video would have been easier i think. still its publicity and with the digibarn link finally up we have a bit of continued presence on the...
top marks to the screenshot guy!
with link too. looks good, may use that on my 540c. i guess that i will be forced to go for anarchie tho for my pb100 as its 68000 usable. anything else for those 68000 users out there?
at this point i am just curious - transmit looks good - but i just knew you...
SHHHHSSSSSHH! dont use my real name! my identity must remain a mystery just like spiderman!
ahem... if it turns out that nobody but nobody wishes to do it next year then i will do it. providing of course i am around and involved in such things.
yes i think that having one person take charge is...
erm.. i dont seem to get any emails when someone replies to a post or thread i am part of.
anyone else?
and no, they are not heading into my junk email account.
apart from fetch.
what else are you using for 68k?
and why not fetch?
my home ftp server, for some reason has a problem with fetch - not sure why, but it does and it does it over a range of versions. other software and methods seem to work.
anyhoo - i could spend a while trying to figure it...
i have done mp3 on my 540c -and yes it does work, but for the usual 128k mp3 files i had to switch the software to output only in mono.
if it was stereo the machine would lock up. with mono output it had some measure of usability when the mp3 was playing.
that said tho - the fact it plays at...
and thats it all done and finished.
big deep breath out for me.
good luck to the person who organizes the event next year, it aint gonna be me!
;-)
RetroChallenge Winners
well everybody kept a blog - so the 'whole' was and is, there really.
so far people seem to have been doing their summing ups too.
a final write up wasnt part of the 'rules' as it were, so would be out the blue for folk i think.
heck!
its not about the winning!
more about closure!

OOer!
well done - very well done indeed - i remember the 'threads' back in the day.
i have just bought your book - just like i also bought your old pb100 hard drive.
aint the net small

what are the chances of getting back the themes for this place?
i admit i miss the clean lines and black and white (no avatars!) of 'The Simple Look'
dont get me wrong i have no idea whats actually involved in such a thing, but is it possible without too much effort?
