If you've managed to HQX the SND files and get them onto a PC formatted floppy, why don't you email them to someone here and have them converted for you? I'm sure somebody will volunteer for the job.... ;-)

Dlink suck - I have wasted many hours trying to configure that equipment: routers, access points, you name it. It's just flaky, you do the same thing over and over and over, even call tech support and they tell you what you are doing is correct.....and then finally (maybe) the sh*t starts...
If I was going to run 7.5 then i personally would go no further than 7.5.3, beyond that seems to be just bloat which slows the system for no apparent purpose. This is speaking from experience with a LCII
It was a PB500PPC - whether or not it was shipped from apple with a PPC board, or if it was upgraded later is unknown. But it definitely was a 500 series case, and the badge said PPC (I can't remember whether it said 500PPC or not)
So you want to upgrade your Powerbooks LC040 to full 040 or maybe a PPC, yes? You won't see to many 540 mother/daughter boards advertised out there on the interwebs, but you do see a lot of broken Powerbooks for sale for next to nothing.

I've used Photoshop 3 or 4 on a Centris 650 (with full 040 onboard) It was sluggish, but it worked. I recommend RAM (I has something like 32MB in the Centris, back in the day)

Well it's been a while since I booted her up (what with moving house and all..) I think I just ran it 800x600 - though being a server I usually ran it with no monitor at all
