Also just so everyone is aware of you recap this thing there are 5 - .22uf 5.5v strange caps that look like dime size.. it’s near where the hard drive slides in so I’m thinking these were special to accommodate space??? I ordered small tantalums that are .22 35v and I’m hoping that will suffice…
Hey gang I am recapping an Outbound Notebook I’ve had for a long time.. it’s about time!! At any rate the battery power supply board has a 220uf 35v cap on it and a tantalum piggy backed on that (see photos) I need to find out the value of the Tantalum.. it says 102 and K1M or KLM.. again see...
Thank you so much!!! No rush. If you could get photos of all the sides with the specs that would be great… havin a photo of the brand you might never know I could find one along the way 😊😊
Thank You
Oh thank you this is awesome!!! Since the output is 8V AC there should be no polarity issues I am assuming. I know there is a MUST to plug the end into the unit FIRST before plugging it in the wall.
Is there a brand name on it or anything?? If possible when you have a chance, no rush at all...
Do you guys need the install diskette's?? I have various copies of diskettes.. There is a special way to install System 7, it is in the notes on the V1.3 diskette in a readme file. If I remember you run the outbound installer then install System 7, then run the Outbound installer again. I have...
You know just a crazy thought... Is there any way to produce 30 pin silicon ssd chip replacements??? So it is not volatile memory and will actually write and save?? Sorry if this is dumb question.. but is this a remote possibility?? We've got some good people on here great at designing memory...
Unity I just broke out my 125... I actually was playing around with it and was able to finally upgrade it to OS 7.0 with a V-1.3 diskette. It's so weird.. You have to install the 1.3 version.. then install the 7.0 OS then the 1.3 version again.. because 6.0 comes on the boot floppy. The thing is...
Hey Pookie yes I think your right it uses some of the host id's info as well. I just wonder if there was a back door key that could be gotten that just works without it having to check the host id and what not. I mean this was the late 90's.. I don't think it was that crazy of a key.. but I...
He will be my best friend too.. Perhaps I can give you a hand with your issue... PM me directly. I am trying this CD right now.. :) :) :) The anticipation is killing me.. :) :)

"wymtb"...
I’m sad to hear about your unit. Are you sure it’s your drive? I mean is is powering up ok and your just getting the blinking ? Question mark? There must be an ssd solution for that. I mean if I can find MFM RLL emulator drives I’m sure you can find. I thought if I remember correct it’s actually...
Mg.man well not really. I don’t have many machines except compact macs that I could throw a Nubus style in. It was just an oddity I wanted to check out. Someone else might be interested in that Nubus one 😊😊 I do appreciate the thought!!

I think the tip or the inside is the positive and the outer round area is the negative. Thanks to Techknight perhaps an Atari adapter would work. I’m holding off on powering it up till I can get a confirmation hopefully from someone who owns one. I still have about 4 caps left to do.. had to...
