You have to recap the 3.3uf 50v capacitors in the screen. I use a very tiny needle and gently pry up the little rubbery/gooey covers on the screw covers on the bottom of the screen. I forget how the front display comes off.. I think bottom first and you slide up. (Sorry I forget). Then once...
They are ingenious little things! Totally worth it!!! Highly unlikely that coin cell will leak... It's been a long time since I've seen a coin cell leak. And if so the damage is not nearly as bad as the regular PRAM batteries... especially the Maxell... (I cringe when I see one of those) If it...
Ok after a lot of work transferring the file around and having issues uploading it today on my work computer (PC) I have finally posted it on Macintosh Garden. Sorry I had to .rar the .image file made with Disk Copy 4.2... They wouldn't allow me to upload a .image file. Let me know if you have...
Hey ok so I found my display kit. It looks exactly the same but mine says Envision on the floppy disk. It is the driver that goes with my card. Looks exactly the same. I can get you the image file 😊
CTB these are the 3V battery adapters I bought for my ANS’s and other Macs from France! I love them.

The PB100 is exactly the same as the Macintosh Portable.. 68000 just condensed into a mini form factor. I wouldn't doubt the programs crashing.. I experience the same thing..
I've recapped many, many, many of them and almost started a production line to doing them getting into a groove...
ScutBoy hey just an fyi you may want to remove that battery on the daughter card on the raid board. I removed mine, it just unplugs. I disabled the battery feature in the raid setup utility. Since this is not really a production server I’m not too worried about that cache battery more than...
ScutBoy your absolutely correct! You need to make sure you know the boot string.. especially if you have the raid card. And yes that PRAM battery is a ticking time bomb on that board placed right at the top.. lol.. I bought those cool little adapters for coin batteries for mine. I forget the...
Definitely a recap of the video board is in order. I usually do the trimpots as well. I think the heat from the CRT takes its toll on them. Not sure if John W. may have any in stock. I always do the power supply first.. those lovely cracked RIFAS are just waiting to have their own 4th of July...
I absolutely love this! I had thought of this years ago.. I wanted to see if it was possible to even do it on an X-Profile for the squeaking of an Apple Lisa Widget. There is another product out there you can buy now but it produces mostly generic pc drive clicking.. not the sweet sounds of the...
I've got one of those too and I was going to say yes it's for an external monitor. I've never tried mine. I am not sure if I even have a driver for it. I might.. I will have to look. It's actually in a box that seems to contain the whole kit. I'm crossing my fingers there is a floppy in there...
Hey I have the same board. Don’t forget to install the Radius Accelerator software extensions. I can’t remember where I found them.. might be on macintosh repository or Mac garden. Just an fyi..
Ok gang... look at this... just got this Macintosh IIVI in... cleaned the board and removed the SMD caps... still have to clean off the pads and remove the axial caps and recap. But either way this is an odd version of the board that I have seen so far. I suspect this might have come from Canada...
Hey Trag I’m going to attempt this too with a cache card donor
for chips. Any chance you or someone else could tell me the values of the missing capacitors and resistors on the back side of the logic board? Or a schematic sheet??
