    IIci PSU shrink-tube optional?

    That is comforting :-)

    IIci PSU shrink-tube optional?

Looks wierd? It seem to be wrapped in paper, besides the heat-shrink.

    IIci PSU shrink-tube optional?

No extra wrapping. I uploaded some pictures! Now that was precisely what I wanted to hear! Thank you! :-)

    IIci PSU shrink-tube optional?

I’m planning an IIcx/ci PSU re-cap. When I opened the PSU, I noticed that some of the capacitors have shrink-tube on them. Is this really a necessity?

    Macintosh IIsi Power Supply Diodes

My IIsi PSU was blowing fuses after I recapped the daughter card, it turned out that the resistor at TH101 had blown!? Replacing that, and everything started to work as intended.

I agree! And just like @CC_333, I have longed for one for quite some time now.

Yes! And accelerated graphics would be great! I would back an SE/30 Xceed greyscale adapter cloning project. :-)

AppleColor High-Resolution RGB Display Diagnosis and Repair

I love that monitor, and I just recently did a re-cap to one of min (a lot of capacitors the boards combined!). And it really helped to improve the convergence, and the clicking sound it made. The most corroded caps were on the video color board (B-board). There are still some convergence...

Help identifying Apple Monitor H-card components

I measured the pot in place, with the monitor turned off, to 1.078 kΩ, and with the monitor on, to 11.32 V DC. Later I found this one, could it be what I’m looking for in this case? When it comes to down to effect, the spec says 100mW, how do I measure that?

Help identifying Apple Monitor H-card components

Thank you! It is a ‘trim potentiometer.’ But how can I determine the resistance value? The ‘trimpot’ says: ‘102’ – is that a value? The size is approximate 7 mm.

Help identifying Apple Monitor H-card components

I recently had one of my Apple Color High-Resolution Monitor Video Color Board ‘B-board’ re-capped. One of the large capacitors  (22 µf 250 V ) had started to erode. The video was slightly improved, and the occasional shutting down issue seems to be gone. However, the H-board has a broken dial...

    Fitting a SCSI2SD in a 68k Mac

This guide looks a bit outdated? The latest version of scsi-util will give you more options, like for instance “software termination” an “quirks mode”. Good luck!

Macintosh IIsi Magic chime sound. What does it mean?

The on-board memory is what I would like to rule out as well, now that the PSU has been restored to working condition again. But just like you mention, my soldering skill also lacks at this point.

Daystar Universal PowerCache P33 in SE/30

Great! What’s the spec on your Daystar Turbo 040? I was going to try it with 040 33 MHz. Memory benchmarks doubled in my SE/30—before the jumper it even scored slightly below that of a ’normal’ SE/30.
